What would you do if you were running a race with no finish line?

What would winning mean then?

Our finish lines are self created in our brains. No matter where you are, there will always be someplace else you would want to go.

Two groups decided to climb the Mount Everest.

One group was so focused on climbing the Everest that they never stopped till they got there. They went to the top, took pictures of them, shared on social media, and made their way back. They spent 5 days climbing the Everest and took pictures for 5 minutes.

The other group took 10 days climbing the Everest but they stopped where they felt like stopping. They enjoyed the journey not just the destination.

Do not treat life as a race, cause if you do, you will spend most of it running.

Our problems in life are not our fault but they are definitely our responsibility. Why?

Cause blaming ourselves will put us in negative state of mind - Guilt, Resent etc.

Blaming others will also leave us feeling angry and frustrated.

Only when we take responsibility for our problems we give ourselves the ability to respond to them.

Unless we take 100% responsibility, we leave an option for the brain to choose the easy way out i.e. to blame.

Once you have created this separation you realise that any emotion is brain's response not yours. That's when it becomes easier to manage it.

Emotions Are Very Powerful - Energy In Motion. They Can Make Or Break You.

Here Is A Three-Step Model You Can Use To Develop Emotional Intelligence:

โžก๏ธ AWARENESS: Be fully aware and present. Whether you are dealing with your or other's emotion - the first step is to be fully aware. Can you be in the moment? Fully present? You cannot deal with two emotions at one time and that is why presence is important. For example, You can not deal with your anger while feeling guilty about it.

โžก๏ธ Separation: Second is to realize that emotions are a subconscious response, not yours. You are your Conscious self. You can not control your subconscious, you can only manage it. Then you also need to separate this emotion from the underlying cause of it. Analogy: It's dangerous to change a bulb ๐Ÿ’ก while it's connected to the power โšก. So do not dig into the cause of why you are feeling a certain way when you are already feeling miserable. First deal with the emotion, then deal with the cause when you are in a stable state of mind.

โžก๏ธ Management: The final step of the process is to manage the emotion. Not control it, manage it. Be curious. You can say things like this is not my emotion I.e. I am not consciously choosing this emotion. So is there a purpose for this emotion right now? If not then can I choose to reduce the impact of this emotion? Remember do not think of the problem. Deal with the emotion first, then the problem. Another question you can ask is that 'for how long?' For example, it is OK to feel fear but it solves no purpose to live in fear. The last question you should ask is "How can I use this?" Emotions are very powerful (Energy in Motion) so if channelled in the right direction, they can help you achieve anything you want.

Right or Wrong is just a ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป. So as long as it's not illegal it does not matter what is right and wrong. What matters is:

1. Are you fully aware of your deepest and highest values?

2. Are you living those values by conscious action even in the most difficult times and regardless of other's judgment/opinion?
