I hope we all have a great weekend.
Quiet one for myself 🧘🏼‍♀️ catching up with lots of admin that is living rent free in my head right now 🤓

Looking forward to September and being a social butterfly 🦋
Two occasions, one wedding and one summer social at the residential area that I live 🏡

Can’t say I’m much of a drinker or a person who enjoys a night out (I used to when I was younger), but when occasions are presented it’s good to have something to look forward to out of the “norm”

Over the years of developing my spirituality I’ve become very sensitive to energies around me (empath) so I find nights out around crowds of people, alcohol altered states of minds & just lots of noise very over stimulating and I get overwhelmed with the energetic waves of both positive and negative energies.

Nonetheless I’m pretty excited to get all dressed up a few times next month 💄 👗 and I’m honouring the rarity in occasion.

I hope we all have a great weekend.

2012 VS 2021
What has changed?
💕 Less cardio more progressive weight training.
💕 Listening to my body & resting when I need to.
💕 Prioritising diet (and focussing on nutrient dense food).
💕 Not being afraid to dive deeper into what works for my body (going vegan for my gut health)
💕 Expanded my knowledge and keeping relevant and above relevant in my field to help and resonate with as much people as possible.

Very grateful to have started my fitness journey so young and it’s helped me keep muscle memory through the years which has been ace.
The journey is just getting started, our bodies will forever change.
Our minds will continue to unlearn and re-learn what doesn’t serve us.

I was really good at pull ups a few years ago!
My aim this year is to focus on getting back to the strength I had previously - could roughy do about 10 pull ups consistently without any break.
Obviously the locks downs and gym closures haven’t help me keep consistent with training so now they are open it’s great to already start to feel and see progress in my upper body sessions.
Not going to lie though, pull day is the hardest of the week for me 😂 #pullups #pullup #pullday #gymworkouts

There is so much that is already good, and already working.
Because of the negativity bias in the brain, we focus on what is wrong and what is missing.

I Had a great day creating some awesome content with this local beauty @lifestylewithkikky 💛
Finished off with a beautiful #veganlunch and discussed all things fitness, progress and our own personal fitness journeys.
One thing we both have in common, no matter how long we have been on our fitness journey is the negative self talk.

The moment I stopped attaching myself and my self worth to a body shape was the day I broke free of the chains ⛓

Whether you are on a weight loss journey, weight gain journey, bodybuilding competitor, model… your bodies will change.
I think once we accept the “summer body” might be gone by winter, or in the next year allows us to enjoy the everlasting #journey - not only to physical/aesthetic goals but to health and well-being.

The best weight loss advice I can give you 👇🏼

1: Find what works for you.
2: Don’t jump on the latest “hypes”
3: Listen to your bodies signals. (hunger/reactions to food/thirst)
4: Trust the process and adapt as you need to, (stop labelling/restricting yourself under a specific dietary group for example) I was GF for almost a year in my gut healing journey but now I add gluten in maybe once-twice a week.
5: Stop beating yourself up when you don’t see results… it’s taken me a decade to get to where I am now and I can truthfully say I’ve finally found what WORKS for my body.
6: Its a marathon not a sprint.

Client TRANSFORMATION 🔥

There is nothing better when a client sticks to goals and has amazing progress!
Alix worked with me 121 in the gym before lockdown and then when lockdown started she moved to working online with me.
During the year of lockdown she has literally transformed her physique & her strength!! 🎉

In 6 months (see picture 3, she has lost 7kg!) the first 6 months she took part in my 50 day Bootcamp but didn’t track any weight loss or progress but states she definitely lost weight!

Now we are back to training once every two weeks in the gym whilst she still works out in the gym herself out with our sessions.
Her strength has sky rocketed 🚀

Healing is never linear, and healing can look like many different things to people.

Whether your healing your emotional, physical, mental or spiritual aspect of you just remember progress is never linear.

The greatest thing about my own unique journey is that every time my BV comes back, it makes me more mindful 💭.
It allows me to come back to my presence and analyse things from the outside looking in.
It helps me understand when I have been re-living old habits and patterns that no longer serve me or showing me that I am not living in a balanced manner.

The greatest achievement of all is actually knowing myself on a deeper level.

That spark and fire I get when I need to implement what I have learned & UNLEARNED to help me eradicate symptoms of BV✨.

It sends me deeper into my own self discovery journey wanting to learn more and more about myself.
Don’t be afraid to dive deep into what your soul is really seeking 🌍

I’m very grateful to have gone through the journey I have gone through with chronic bacterial vaginosis for 4 years because I have so much more knowledge around gut health, healing, and an all round more holistic approach to my own coaching for my clients. I know that if it’s necessary I have the tools in my toolbox to support❤️‍🩹.

It has also taught me how to be more compassionate and empathising, because any journey we embark on;
weight loss, weight gain, going to the gym regularly, gut health, food intolerances, chronic illnesses etc.
