Abbots Bromley School

Abbots Bromley School

Trying to contact school regarding an A Level re-mark request. Can't get hold of anyone in spite of calling and emailing. Can anyone help please?
I went to this school in 1960 aged 13. I was in Rice House. Is anyone on here there in Rice at the same time?
Excellent teachers with superb examination passes and very caring house staff with many extra curricular activities.
I am so sorry your school closed, 😔 my mum is also so very sad, she was a student from 1958–1964, (Elizabeth Hughes) my mum is very poorly, she has been so happy to see some pictures of the school from your page today, there was one throwback picture that she recognised her school Mistress in, have you any other photos you can share with me from her school days..? Or anyone friend of the page that has any from that time?
It really would mean so much to her to see any.

Amy ###
Anyone have any photos from roughly 1959 to 1964?
My mum (Elizabeth Hughes) attended the school at that time & I know she’d love to hear from any past students ###
I recently attended a christening in Abbots Bromley Church and was sorry to learn that the school was to close. I attended the school from September 1964 to June 1972. The school has changed a lot since my time, a wonderful new gym and the swimming pool no longer in the open air. I do hope that some way will be found to save it for the future. It has been a major part of the village for all those years and has given a good education to those lucky enough to attend it.

Are you scared of water or trying to perfect your technique?
We have a coach and course that can help
Ratios of only 2 to 1 coach!

We teach at the following locations:

Monday 8.15-9.15 Abbots Bromley School nr Rugeley
Wednesdays 8-9pm Netherstowe School, Lichfield

When is the school closing down
Just learned about the plans to shut down this brilliant school fpr financial reasons. I'm devastated. How can high level education and ethos depend on the profit a school is able to produce?? Education is not a matter of profit but of humanity... I deeply hope that there will be a way to guarantee the survival of such an important institution!!!
Good luck to all of the dance students taking ballet exams, enjoy and be amazing 🍀🍀

Abbots Bromley School is quite remarkable. Set in 53 acres of stunning grounds and adjoining beautiful countryside. Set in 53 acres of stunning grounds and adjoining beautiful countryside, Abbots Bromley was opened some 139 years ago as one of the first schools with Nathaniel Woodard’s Christian ideals of ‘Faith, Unity and Vision’ to provide an education for young people in an environment which would cultivate pride and excellence in every aspect of life.

Operating as usual

Congratulations to all of our GCSE and A Level students who have received results over the last week.⁣

Abbots Bromley School celebrates the best GCSE results in recent history. 25% of all papers taken were awarded the top grade (Level 9) and 60% of all papers achieved Level 9-7. An honourable mention goes to Becky L with 8 Level 9s. Roxanne B and Maddison B also did fantastically both achieving 6 Level 9s. Well done ladies.

AB have also celebrated a wonderful set of A Level results. Destinations for our Sixth Form leavers includes Durham, UCL, Imperial London, Bristol, Edinburgh, Chicago, Hong Kong and RAD.⁣ ⁣

The past few months have not been easy for the school but the AB community have shown true esprit de corps and the students have been rewarded for their efforts.⁣

These results are the culmination of years of hard work, not only from the students but their families, staff and the Governing Body. We wish all of our students the very best in their next steps and look forward to keeping in touch via the Guild of S. Mary and S. Anne.
