One of our most anticipated activities is around the corner again.
If you do not have any plans for your children, you are most welcome to enroll them in our Holiday Program. Bring them down at Waldorf Kindergarten, 240 Richards Road, Nasese from Monday 13 April to Friday 17th April 2026.

You are also most welcome to enroll them in our aftercare program from Monday 20th, Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd April.

$30 for half a day per head and $40 for full day from 9am-3pm, payments secure the spots, please bring your child's morning tea, Lunch and water bottle. However, we also do offer lunch for extra $10.

The school will be open from 8am- 3 pm.

Surrounded by love, Buma peacefully passed away in hospital yesterday afternoon. Her daughter Mama, along with all the Flametree Waldorf staff, were there by her side as she took her final breath. She was not alone; she was wrapped in the same love she so freely gave to others throughout her life.

Since joining our Flametree Waldorf Kindergarten family in 2014, Buma has been the heart and soul of our kitchen, and a grandmother to every child who passed through our gates. Her meals were never just food — they were love served on a plate. Every pot she stirred carried her warmth; every meal she prepared was filled with her deep care for every little soul in our community.

Buma’s gentle smile, her laughter in the kitchen, her quiet wisdom, and her unwavering love made her one of the pillars of Waldorf Kindergarten Fiji. She nurtured not just hungry bellies, but tender hearts. For many of our children, her warm embrace was as healing as her meals — a true grandmother spirit that wrapped around them and made them feel safe, seen, and loved.

Everyone who knew Buma, past and present staff, parents, and children, carries a piece of her kindness, her wisdom, her unshakeable spirit. The little ones she nurtured, the parents she reassured, the teachers she lifted up, all of us are bound together by the love she poured into our community, day after day, year after year.

Even those who have long moved on from Flametree still remember her, the grandmother who wrapped every meal, every word, every smile in tenderness. Her legacy stretches far beyond these school walls. Buma was the heart of Waldorf Kindergarten Fiji.

Her presence was a blessing we will never forget. She lived with kindness, humility, and a deep commitment to serving others, expecting nothing in return. Her legacy is woven into the very heart of our school — into every joyful moment, every tradition, every meal shared.

Today, we mourn together as a family. We send all our love and prayers to Buma’s family, as we honor the beautiful, irreplaceable soul she was.

Buma, you were love in action.
You will forever be a part of Flametree Waldorf Fiji
Your spirit lives on in every child you cared for, every meal you lovingly prepared, and every life you touched.

Thank you, dearest Buma.
Rest now, wrapped in the same love you gave so freely.

Art and craft play a crucial role in inspiring kids, unlocking hidden skills, and enhancing their ability to explore their capabilities. At Flametree Waldorf Kindergarten, we provide children with the space to fully discover themselves. Today, our painting day featured a creative project where children designed their own unique tie-dye tote bags. Each child eagerly splashed colors onto their bags, resulting in beautiful and individual artistic outcomes.

Seeing the joy and fulfillment in their faces as they saw their creations was truly rewarding. At Waldorf Kindergarten, we embrace the process of creation rather than focusing solely on the outcome. This approach allows children to live in the moment and enjoy their artistic journey without the distraction of constant displays on the walls.
