Today we finalized our case analogically on the bottom part with conventional wax-up and the flows le inyectable technique and on the upper we finished with monolithic veneers ,yesterday we did preps, we scanned, and today we will dontje bonding .At the same time we had some workshops going on , we had intro to intraoral scanning workshop( 3shape)we also had a photo studio with Federico Bruner who helped us,and taught us some photography tricks and on the afternoon we had a lecture that wasn’t planned with Stephan Ulbritch where we learnt how to register the central position with the new digital technology with the DIR system. Very full day!!!

Second day of Exclusive Course: live patient, we did all the DSD first and second appointment mock-up the patient loved it. We are actually doing the preps right now, 3 shape and getting ready to finalize the case tomorrow.

Case planned following DSD protocols. 12 had to be extracted and substituted for an implant due to the very poor conditions of the apical area , bad old endo treatment leaded to this situation.The rest are Di-silicate monolithic Cad-Cam restorations.

The main goal of this intensive “Exclusive” course is to learn how to apply Digital Smile Design (DSD) protocols in our day by day practice. We will go over it´s main pillars and learn how to classify our cases in order to deliver the best multidisciplinary treatment plan possible.

We will also go through the full patient´s experience , learning how to implement the perfect 1st and 2nd appointments, helping our patients understand the need for full mouth rehabilitations, motivating them to accept our treatment plans therefore increasing dramatically our case acceptance and also creating a fun , dynamic and modern work atmosphere to motivate our teams.

A hands on photo/video workshop will also be included, tools absolutely necessary to be able to work following the previously mentioned protocols.

During the three days of the course we will also finalise a full case with a live patient, where over the shoulder, we will all learn the analog workflow steps, with conventional wax ups and preforming the injected flowable composite technique for the lower arch. On the upper arch of our patient we will follow the full digital workflow, having our case planned with 3D DSD software, 3D printing of a model to preform a mock up and the full emotional dentistry experience, preforming an emotional presentation template on Keynote to show in a very cool different way our patient there new smile( That we will all take back home to start using in our practices). Then we will prep for veneers and scan our patients mouth. Our lab will then preform monolithic restorations following the Skyn protocols and finally bonding procedures.

The course will be carried out by Dr. Eduardo de la Torre and aided by part of his team at Q Dental.

Such an ambitious program can only be made possible with a very small group of participants and this is why we limit the assistance to 10 colleagues.

Not everything will be about learning during these three days, our team is preparing many fun activities so we can all enjoy together our wonderful city, Madrid. Also we will have a VIP dinner and cocktails during the second night, where Eduardo will accompany us all to one of his favourite restaurants and afterwards to a jazz club to enjoy some cocktails all together.
