What impact have food renegades from our Future of Food Fellowship had six months on?

How are they navigating the 20-50% increase in supplier costs while still building businesses that contribute to a sustainable food system?

Together with Be the Earth Foundation, The DO’s 12-month Future of Food Fellowship accelerated innovative, scalable food solutions from across the globe. Fellows caught up for a reunion to share the impact they’ve created, support each other, and discuss challenges and opportunities.

What came out of the reunion?
The importance of regularly connecting to support one another, the power of collaboration and that despite the fellows being from all different parts of the world, many are facing similar challenges, and while working locally, global thinking is required to build a better food system.

Our New World Week opens!

Tonight in Berlin we've brought together leaders from across Europe at the Humboldt Forum, courageous leaders who are DOing, helping to build a better future, despite the challenges we currently face.

With a welcome from Stadtmuseum Director Paul Spies, we explored the Berlin Global Exhibition. We discussed what we can learn from the old world, and how we can create the new. Over dinner we shared learnings, and how we can take collective action.

What a fantastic atmosphere...

On a sunny Friday, around 36,000 people marched through Berlin's government district last week to demand action from our political leaders. No question that we had to join the protest march and get our messages out as well.

Seeing the many people take to the streets and fight for our common goal was truly inspiring. A huge thank you to the many people who laid down their work to join the protest, the many parents and grandparents who went out on the streets for their children and grandchildren, and especially the many young people and children who once again acted like true leaders!

We will proudly take this energy and extra motivation into this and the upcoming weeks and reflect it through purposeful DOing. We are already looking forward to seeing you next time!

The DO team never really rests! Participating in new meaningful activities lifts our spirit and recharges our energy. The most satisfying round we experienced together under a fiery sunset was COOKING the same recipe!

Three groups of DOers at the beautiful Storchenhof Paretz in prepared the same dish, but surprisingly each of them had a unique flavor.

Enjoying our delicious food with momentous talks and jokes enabled us to get to know each other better.
As we're crossing our fingers to master Asian recipes in the future with our amazing colleagues at The DO Asia, we're also embracing new people joining our team.

The DO team agreed to take a breath for two restful days at the beautiful Storchenhof Paretz in Brandenburg. The beautiful sunset, calming environment, and delicious food made us return for a second team retreat.

Our team of DOers recharged their energy through meaningful conversations in getting to know our new team members and sharing the mutual vision of co-creating a new world.

After two impactful days together and taking the best of our in-person human connections, we got back to the office with enlightened energy to boost our efforts and make a bigger change for the coming months and 2023.
