On April 2, we welcomed DAAD Guest Lecturer, Dr. Sally Stone from the Manchester School of Architecture for an inspiring lecture titled “The Future of the Already Built.”

Through the lens of adaptive reuse, Dr. Stone explored how existing structures can be creatively reimagined for the present and future. Once overlooked, this approach is now gaining global relevance, reshaping how we think about sustainability, heritage, and architectural innovation.

We’re proud to share that "Aufbruch (Area Bee 51)" has been selected for the "da! ARCHITEKTUR IN UND AUS BERLIN" 2025 exhibition and yearbook by the Architektenkammer Berlin. Designed in collaboration between KHBT and Britta Eiermann and Oliver Langbein from osa, “Aufbruch Area Bee 51” is a transformation of a parking lot of former US military basis in Mannheim into a new urban square.
