Why has the district not pushed this out to the families?!

**I posted this on another Tomball page, just fyi.**

Anybody want to know why our district Covid numbers keep going up? One word: Transportation. 🚌💨 Only 5% of the bus drivers are wearing masks while driving our kids around. I passed 3 this morning who had buses full of kids and the drivers weren’t wearing masks. These people are trusted with the lives of our children but aren’t taking the virus threat seriously. And somebody will say I don’t know what I’m talking about and get all huffy but my question is, how do you live with yourselves knowing your lack of “give a darn” is making our children sick? Btw, this is our district Covid dashboard for today. When you read the numbers, think about how low they could be if our Transportation Dept actually cared about the health of our kids?

Oh, and we parents know all about how the Custodial Depts aren’t cleaning our schools with virus killing cleaners. Say it with me Tomball...Clorox.

Why were the students from bus 64 put on bus 65? My daughter told me there were so many kids on that bus that they had to sit on the floor. Not only that but they were crammed so close together that this violated the districts own social distancing rules. Another bus should have been made available or a second route ran and someone should have reached out to the parents. This bus is supposedly being taken out of service until January 2021 so I assume kids will continue to sit on the floor and be crammed together?

My child goes to Willowood Junior High... Wednesday last week a teacher was advised to put a trash can in a classroom and put him by the door so if he threw up in the classroom it would go in the trash can. The nurse was “to busy” to assess his symptoms after he visited her door during class change. (He had spent the majority of first period in the restroom - He had food poisoning) Wed. Thurs. Friday no notice that a COVID test was required to return until this morning! Now, they feel he had COVID and he can’t return? If that was the case why would you leave him to vomit and p**p on himself in the classroom? Oh but it gets better- today the nurse tells my son to show her our private messages in reference to that day... (that’s against the law - no search warrant) (And for what reason?) and proceeded to tell my son not to contact me because it would only make me mad!!! What are you doing Tomball ISD??? My son is officially at 215LBS almost 6ft tall sitting with two other kids on the school bus every day. Where is the social distancing? Where are the CDC guidelines being following? Where are the districts processes and procedures coming into play? I need answers, statement and apologies!

I hope the board and administration are looking at this seriously. This is a critical time in our country with racial tempers flaring. Please take advantage of the opportunity to condem hate and teach tolerance to our children.

The statement which states “spirited attitudes from both teams” what does this mean? I am old but high school football has always been “spirited” so that cannot be the issue and you guys know it is not the issue. The issue is the racist “spirit “ exhibited by players and worse it sounds like from adults which totally why the lost youth were full of this spirit! Don’t be like our current President, admit the issue so it can be addressed or just say a truthful we don’t give a care.

Anyone with kids at Willow Wood Junior High find it odd how there’s been 6 emails reporting COVID-19 Positive cases since November 2? Seems like increasing the number of face to face students was probably not such a good idea despite their “protocols”. As a parent I figured something wrong has already been seen detected when Bob Frost sent out emails on 10-28-2020 to reinforce knowledge of the mandatory health screenings parents must do prior to entering a school bus or the school. Do we have tracers going? Is this an issue with families or is this an issue with the school?

Is there a reason our Covid letters use the phrase “at least one individual has tested positive for Covid-19”?

How are parents supposed to make an informed decision about switching to/from F2F or TVS if we continue to receive these cryptic emails from the campuses and district? As we head into the holiday season and a decision to switch is inevitably upon us, if we could have more data and details on the actual case counts in the schools, it may benefit all of us.

Why is TISD not participating in the free school lunch program that was passed by our president in October? The USDA website states that this is available to ALL students regardless of income. This program was passed through the end of the school year.
