Happy National Indigenous Peoples Day!

Today we are highlighting Ma-Nee Chacaby. Her autobiography, "A Two-Spirit Journey: The Autobiography of a Le***an Ojibwa-Cree Elder" won Canada Reads 2025!

This work "is Ma-Nee Chacaby's extraordinary account of her life as an Ojibwa-Cree le***an. From her early, often harrowing memories of life and abuse in a remote Ojibwa community riven by poverty and alcoholism, Chacaby's story is one of enduring and ultimately overcoming the social, economic, and health legacies of colonialism."

The library has a physical or eBook copy available: https://casls-spl.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/search?query=any,contains,a%20two%20spirit%20journe&tab=Everything&search_scope=MyInst_and_CI&sortby=date_d&vid=01CASLS_SPL:01CASLS_SPL&facet=frbrgroupid,include,9000420123240952015&mode=Basic&offset=0

Happy pride!🌈

Pictured is the Saskatchewan Polytechnic pride float in Saskatoon (June 2024). This year, students and employees are able to walk in Pride parades happening in our campus cities again!

Saskatchewan Polytechnic promotes a culture of equity and inclusion where everyone belongs and thrives. Let’s show our support for 2SLGBTQI+ students and employees and people in our communities!

For more information on the parades, visit: https://library.saskpolytech.ca/news/posts/2025/pride.month_June2025.aspx And if you are on campus, take a look at the Pride flag that has been raised 🏳️‍🌈
