Hello Parents/Guardians,

On Wednesday, May 22, 2024 starting at 6:30 p.m at Hapnot Collegiate Theatre we will be having an informal Parent meeting to review volunteer positions available for Safe Grad. Safe Grad will take place this year on June 27, 2024 at 10:00 pm until 5:00 am the next morning. All parents with children in Grades 9-11 are asked to volunteer for this event. Then, the year your child is in Grade 12 and graduating, you do not have to worry about volunteering to make their Safe Grad a special event. This meeting will be your opportunity to ask questions and sign up for a volunteer position. A short presentation will take place at 6:30 p.m. with sign up to follow until 7:30 p.m.

Parents that are not able to attend this meeting can contact our Volunteer Coordinator at [email protected]. Safe Grad relies solely on parent/community volunteers. Without sufficient volunteers, this event will not be possible.

Please keep in mind that we have very limited early shifts and we try to accommodate as best we can. Sign up is first come first serve basis. Parents who attend the meeting will have first choice of volunteer spots. If you are unable to volunteer we ask that you consider making a cash donation to help assist with the costs of the event. Cash donations can be dropped off at Hapnot Office.

Thank you,

Safe Grad Committe

All schools will be open tomorrow, May 14th. Parents are to be reminded we have no way of communicating out. Please stop by the schools if you know your children will not be attending.
Staff, if you will be away from work, you will need to place a note in the red mailbox outside the Division Office at 9 Terrace Avenue by 7:30 am.

For those able to access internet outside of Flin Flon,
All schools will be closed tomorrow for staff and students due to lack of communication services. Updates will be given through the local radio station, CFAR. Please listen for updates.
