Meet our Sales & Trading Night representative: Christine Li ✨

Christine is a Sales & Trading Rotational Analyst at Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets. She has held the position since August 2022 after graduating from Rotman Commerce at the University of Toronto. Since joining Scotiabank full time, Christine has completed rotations in Prime Services, Securitization, and Commercial DPG & FX. Prior to graduating, Christine completed a summer internship at Scotiabank in Equity Research in the Media and Telecom coverage group. Christine was also the President of Tri Delta and a teacher’s assistant during her time at the university.

Since graduating from Rotman Commerce in 2018 I’ve spent all 4 years at RBC Capital Markets. I landed my first full time role 6 months out of school in Commodity Derivatives Settlements. During my 3.5 years on the Commodities team, I always hoped I’d have an opportunity to work on the trade floor, and in June of last year I was offered a role on the Commercial FX desk. As I’m still relatively junior on the team, I’m learning something new every day and am constantly challenged with new initiatives. Outside of work I enjoy playing board games, volleyball and I’ve recently started learning how to snowboard.

Meet or Sales & Trading Night representative: Kolia Alpha-Yaya Toure ⚽️

Alpha is a graduate from the department of Mathematics at the University if Toronto and specialized in Finance.
He started working as an Analyst at HSBC, specializing in institutional fixed income trading in 2022. Before that, he also worked as a trader on the retail side at Questrade, handling a variety of assets including equities and options.
In parallel, he is candidate for the level 3 of the CFA program.
Outside of work, Alpha is a fan of and trains for Mixed Martial Arts and soccer (plays like Ronaldinho); he is also an adept of good music and dancing, his other passion is aviation and he is working towards his private pilot license.

Students (in groups of 4) will have 1 day to analyze and perfect their sales strategy to then present to our P&G judges. In addition to receiving insightful feedback on their pitches, students will get greater knowledge of P&G's brands and sales functions.

Through collaboration and working under pressure, this event provides students of all years with a unique opportunity to develop their real-world sales abilities.

At the end of the event, students will have a chance to network with P&G executives. Food and drinks will be provided to all participants.
