Operating as usual

Hi everyone!

Please help us keep everyone happy and healthy this holiday season! If you have an unwell child, please keep them home from school.

It's spooky season and we're getting in the spirit! 🎃

Check out all the Halloween fun happening at Wilfred Hunt! All info will be available on Edsby and in our fall newsletter too.

We can't wait to open Wilfred Hunt's doors to our families! On Wednesday September 13th, come visit the school! From 4:30pm to 5:15pm, pop into your children's classrooms and meet the teacher. If you ordered, join us for a pizza supper in the gym from 5:15pm to 6:00pm!

See you there!

You did it, Hornets! Another school year in the books. We're so proud of your hard work, dedication, and your kindness! Have the most restful and recharging summer break with your friends and families! We'll miss you! Stay safe, make good choices and we'll see you September 5!

Wilfred Hunt School proudly presents PRIDE week from June 5-8! We believe that every student, family and community member deserves to be represented and celebrated - diversity makes us stronger!

Hello families! Enjoy a “virtual tour” of our School Lost & Found - keep your eyes peeled for any of your kiddos items! Everything will be laid out until Friday, with classes visiting this week! Any unclaimed items will be donated to Carmichael Outreach on Friday after school! ❤️🖤

We are so excited to have our community come together on Friday April 28th for the raising of our Treaty 4 Flag. Check out the picture to learn more information about this important day. If you have any questions please reach out! Looking forward to seeing you on Friday!

Wilfred Hunt’s Environmental Club is hosting a supply drive for Carmichael Outreach Inc.! Rather than throwing away these things or recycling them (which still takes resources and energy) DONATE them so they can be reused! ❤️ Thank you in advance for your contributions!

We’re looking for:

Diapers/pull up’s (5&6)
Toilet paper
Cat & dog food
CLEAN containers with lids
Reusable bags

Bring your items to school and drop them in the boxes or bins that will be located at the front of the school starting MONDAY MARCH 20th! Donations will be collected until Easter break!

Thank you to our actresses for making this amazing commercial! 😊

Wilfred Hunt staff, students and families recognized Indigenous Peoples’ Day this week with a Story Walk in the park. As our act of reconciliation, students spoke 18 Swampy Cree words from the book On the Trapline to lift and voice the Cree language that was lost during residential schools. You can find the story walk in University Park across the street until Friday afternoon.
