I submitted my first Ph.D. application today, and I couldn't be more excited about what the future might hold.

My First PhD Statement of Intent — Jillian Kowalchuk I have officially applied for my PhD. I am so excited for the journey ahead. When you apply to most PhD programs you must provide a statement of intent. This is mine. Thank you to everyone who helped me edit and is continuing to support me along the way. Fingers crossed that I get accepted!

NEW BLOG POST! Back in November, I attended the Wexit Rally in Edmonton, Alberta as a social justice literacy project for a graduate course that I was taking on anti-oppression education. Although this was originally a 25-page paper unpacking liberal and conservative political ideologies, I decided to make the reflection component a blog post. It was a very interesting and eye-opening experience to be able to engage with a perspective that you do not fully understand. I hope to complete more social justice literacy projects in the future!
