We are pleased to share our Herbal Research Group members have attended the 1st Natural Science and Technology Conference (NaSTeC), the very first flagship conference event by the Faculty of Resource Science and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). The conference was held at The Waterfront Hotel, Kuching, from 4 – 6 October 2023.

In the group pictures are the Chairperson of the conference, Professor Dr Zainab Ngaini. Along with our Research Assistant, Raudhatun Na’emah hj Samsul and four of our students, Norafiqah binti Yusof, Lim Siao Suan (MHSc), Fatin Amirah Fikriyah Abd. Rahman (MHSc) and Amira Asyiqin Binti Abdul Wahab (MHSc). Our students shared and presented their ongoing research on the antimicrobial and anticancer effects of Morus alba L. leaves and the anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects of Litsea elliptica leaves.

The Herbal Research Group would like to express our greatest appreciation to UNIMAS for this amazing opportunity, as well as UBD, for its continuous support.
