IBTE ATCIAN ALUMNI 2018-2020 INTAKES

Meet IBTE’s Alumni of the month, Nursyahirah binti Abdullah Saiful Azizi, a dedicated learner whose academic journey reflects exceptional perseverance and continuous growth.

She began her studies at the School of Agro-Technology and Applied Sciences, IBTE Agro-Technology Campus, completing her HNTec in Agrotechnology (Food Technology) from 2018 to 2020 before pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Agribusiness) at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universiti Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) from 2021 to 2025, and is now continuing her progression with a Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain at the School of Business and Economics, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).

One of her most memorable experiences at IBTE was a coursework assignment requiring students to calculate calorie intake based on a given scenario, design a complete menu around a selected cuisine, and cook the menu within a strict time limit — an experience that strengthened her practical skills, teamwork, and time management.

Reflecting on her academic journey, she describes it as a progressive path that shaped both her career and personal growth: IBTE provided hands-on technical grounding in food science and nutrition; UNISSA broadened her perspective to include management, economics, and entrepreneurship; and UBD is now deepening her expertise in optimising processes and understanding global supply chain systems. Each stage has equipped her with technical expertise, management capabilities, operational leadership, and life skills such as problem-solving, adaptability, and finding joy in learning.

Sharing her advice for current students, Nursyahirah says, “Embrace every challenge as an opportunity to grow, and never be afraid to ask questions if you feel lost. Seeking guidance is not something to be embarrassed or afraid of when you are still learning. Don’t be discouraged if one door closes or an opportunity slips away — setbacks are part of the journey. Always remind yourself that Allah is the best planner, and with patience and perseverance you will definitely achieve your dreams, even if the path takes longer than expected.”

📢 Regional Seminar and Launching of the AEET in Brunei Darussalam 2025 – Registration Now Open!

This regional platform will brings together educators, experts, and stakeholders to share insights on the development and implementation of AEET prototypes and to launch of AEET Prototype adapted to the Brunei Darussalam context.

IBTE VISITS 2025 | ITE COLLEGE EAST VISITS IBTE

Kg. Wasan & Universiti Brunei Darussalam, 22 September 2025/ 29 Rabiulawal 1447 -

​On September 22, 2025, IBTE welcomed students and lecturers from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) College East, Singapore, for the 10th Exchange Programme since 2011. The visit included lessons at the PAPRSB Institute of Health Sciences, UBD, a two-week clinical attachment at RIPAS Hospital, and cultural activities. The exchange highlights IBTE’s commitment to global collaboration and enriching student learning.

IBTE ATC – A delegation from Sarawak Skills paid a visit to the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE), Agro-Technology Campus (ATC) on last Monday, 18 August 2025 within 24 Safar 1447. The visit aimed to foster closer ties and facilitate an exchange of knowledge and expertise in the field of agro-technology.

It was a pleasure to host them and to share insights on Agro-Technology. Thank you for the enriching experience and for your valuable time & your visit was greatly appreciated.
