A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the United International University (UIU) and Police Staff College Bangladesh (PSC) on 26 December 2023 (Tuesday) at 11:00 AM at UIU Campus, United City, Madani Avenue, Dhaka- 1212.
Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, Vice Chancellor of UIU presided over the signing ceremony. While Dr. Mallick Faqrul Islam bpm, ppm, Rector (Additional Inspector General), Police Staff College Bangladesh (PSC), Professor Emeritus Dr. M. Rezwan Khan, The Executive Director of IAR, UIU, Mr. Md. Abdul Moqaddem, Treasurer of UIU, Dr. Md. Zulfiqur Rahman, Registrar of UIU, Md. Rezaul Haq, ppm, Vice-Rector, PSC, Md. Matiur Rahman Sheikh, Member Directing Staff (Administration and Finance), PSC, Md. Golam Rasul, Member Directing Staff (Academic), PSC, Mohammad Jahangir Hossain, Member Directing Staff (Training), PSC, Mr. Sufian Ahmed, Director (Academic), PSC and Mr. Abu Sofian, Staff Officer to Rector, PSC were present in the program.
The Vice Chancellor of UIU and Rector (Additional Inspector General) of Police Staff College Bangladesh (PSC) signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. Faculty members, heads of different departments, directors, faculty members and high officials were present in the program.
This MoU will provide an opportunity for academic and applied research collaboration between UIU and PSC. The two institutions will jointly organize various trainings, seminars, workshops, study tours and knowledge sharing. Also will conduct exchange programs between the faculty members and students as per the need.

“Japan Job Fair 2023” was held at UIU, United City, Madani Avenue, Dhaka -1212. The program was organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan, supported by Venturas and Persona. UIU was the venue partner and CIAC-UIU was the coordinator of this event.
His Excellency Kiminori Iwama, Ambassador of Japan in Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest and Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, Vice Chancellor (In-charge) of UIU was Present as the Special Guest in the opening ceremony. The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Yoriko Ueda, Founder & CEO, Venturas Ltd. in the ceremony.
Over 1500 people participated through online and offline. Over 100 candidates and 13 Japanese companies participated offline as part of the hiring process. Companies like Mitsubishi Corporation, NICCA Chemical Co., Ltd. Bangladesh, Nippon Koei Bangladesh Ltd. TNY Legal Bangladesh Ltd., Greentool Co. Ltd., Goshu Kohsan (Bangladesh) Co. Ltd. Tekken Corporation, SUN Co. Ltd., Kokorozashi Japan Ltd., Sojitz Asia Pte Ltd, Bangladesh Liaison Office, Sanyo Engineering & Construction Inc. and Willtec Co. Ltd. were there to conduct overall recruitment session.
The Chief Guest mentioned that - through this job fair the development of the two countries will play an important role and the good relations between the two countries will increase from generation to generation. It is the first job fair by Japanese companies in Bangladesh. He also expressed the hope of doing this job fair on a larger scale in the future.
The Special Guest UIU VC (In-charge) Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia mentioned that – the successful candidates in this job fair will receive a great opportunity to play an important role in developing the country as well as to put in their all-out efforts to brighten the country’s image.

CIAC-UIU organized a seminar on "Youth Development". Nazma Rahman, the honorable Mayor of Camden, London, UK was the chief guest and keynote speaker of this seminar. Besides her, Former CEX, Voluntary Action Camden London Borough of Islington presented his valuable speech.
Prior to the seminar, a collaboration meeting had taken place. The meeting was presided over by Prof. Dr. Abul Kashem Mia, the honorable VC, UIU.
The seminar's agenda encompassed topics related to youth development, including successful models such as the Young Camden Foundation (YCF) in Camden, London. YCF, founded in 2017, has been instrumental in supporting young people through grant-giving, capacity-building, and cross-sector collaboration.

CIAC, UIU hereby delightfully announces the commencement of the registration process for the IELTS preparation program. Classes of Batch-04 are expected to start on 19th August 2023.
Please find the details below about the IELTS preparation program:
Special Course Fee BDT 6,000 for students, alumni, faculty members, and staff of UIU
(Course Fee BDT 7,500 for Non-UIU applicants)
Class details: 2 classes per week (Saturday + Tuesday) for 3 months, a total of 22 classes & 01 mock test at the UIU campus.
Class Time: 4:45 PM – 6:45 PM
Free shuttle service from the UIU campus to Notun Bazar will be provided after each class, no class will take place during the examination.
Ms. Tanjeem Jannat, who has been an adept guide in this particular field with a Band Score of 8.5 conducting IELTS training for the last 4-5 years is going to be the instructor of this program
Seats are limited to 25 only. Seats will be getting filled up on a first-come, first-served basis
