When a child plays a musical instrument he or she is developing key brain functions that not only enhances musical learning but also academic and social skills. According to the Council for Music Education Research, music:

5. Fosters self-esteem and the ability to work cooperatively in teams
6. Builds and strengthens connections between brain cells which improves memory and the ability to differentiate between sounds and speech. Our Methods
A Child can and will be disciplined from a properly structured music program; however we do not use or encourage the use of music as a form of discipline. Thus we create a fun environment that encourages participation and involvement, but with clear established boundaries. Depending on the group our classes last from 30mins-1hr with set time segments to maximize the students attention span. How We Measure Success
Every child is different and will have different strengths and weaknesses thus we do not provide a mass medication of instruction. Instead we try to provide a 5:1 max student to teacher ratio to ensure quality personal tutelage, catering for the individual needs of every student. This allows us to effectively set benchmarks and track progress. We never encourage measuring a child’s progress against that of another but against his/her own potential. So while we submit students to take external theory and practical exams, we understand that the social and interpersonal life skills like self confidence, discipline cannot be quantified and examined by an examination board.
