When it comes to most laptop users they tend to leave their computers plugged in 24/7 without the realization that this tends to weaken the batteries at a faster rate. Also screens often get cracked by accident and the airflow is terrible for cooling. The Intel NUC (Next Unit of Computing) solves all of these issues that laptops tend to have.

First of all there are no batteries with a unit like this needed because it has its own external power supply.

The peripherals are separate from the computer itself so the downside to this is that, you will have to provide your own. The advantage here is that if anything happens to your screen, keyboard or mouse these parts can easily be swapped for new ones.

Last feature about the NUC is that because its so small, its still portable just like a regular laptop so you can unplug the peripherals from the main unit itself carry it from work and back home without damaging any peripherals.
