🎉 Milestone Achieved! 🎉
We are incredibly proud to share that Het Koraal Primary School in Bonaire has successfully completed the CTR21 course!
This is a special moment for us, as Het Koraal becomes our 10th and final pilot school where all teachers have been officially certified. 👏
The teachers and school leadership showed remarkable enthusiasm and active engagement throughout the entire process. Their commitment to growth and educational improvement was truly inspiring.
A special word of appreciation goes to our very own Lilianne Hercules, who facilitated the workshops and did a tremendous job guiding the team every step of the way.
The teachers are now moving into the next phase of the research journey, where they will implement their research strategies in the classroom to further strengthen the quality of education. We look forward to seeing the impact of their work!

On January 15th 2026, the coordinators of the CTR21 research team, Gregory Richardson and Melendy Bisslik-Neuman, representing the Instituto Pedagogico Arubano as project lead as well as it's consortium partners of the University of Curaçao, University of St. Martin and University of Aruba, met with Aruba’s Minister of Education, Ms. Gerlien Croes and team, to share an update on the progress of the CTR21 research report commissioned by the Nationaal Kennisinstituut Onderwijs. This research project covers a total of 10 pilot schools on the ABC and SSS islands. As the project has now passed the halfway point, it was a valuable moment to reflect on key developments and discuss the next steps ahead.

We have great news from Curaçao!
St. Fransiscus College has also successfully completed the CTR21 course. Under the great coaching of CTR21 coach Juanita Hollander-Pieternella of the University of Curaçao, participants were encouraged to delve deeper into the inquiry mindset and explore how these competencies can be applied in practical and meaningful ways within their classrooms.
Masha Pabien to all the newly minted certified teachers! With this milestone, Curaçao has now also completed this phase of the project. We certainly look forward to the next phase, where teachers will be executing classroom based research to further enhance students’ learning experiences in an inquisitive and reflective way.

🎉 CTR21 Certification Colegio Santa Famia, Aruba 🎉
The teachers of Colegio Santa Famia in Aruba have officially earned their CTR21 certification, a true reflection of their hard work, engagement, and commitment to growth.
Throughout the course, teachers actively shared ideas, gave thoughtful input, and worked together in a strong space of co-creation. Their research presentations highlighted innovative practices in physical education, contextual learning with local literature, mathematics programs, social-emotional development and more. The tech skills of the teachers was especially very impressive.

CTR21 Impact at Prinses Amalia Basisschool! 🎉
Super congratulations to the dynamic teachers of Prinses Amalia Basisschool, who have proudly received their CTR21 certification!
During an inspiring afternoon, teachers presented their research plans for the upcoming semester and shared how they will strengthen an inquiry mindset to improve the quality of education in their classrooms.
Research topics include mathematics, language, reading, social issues, and even school gardens and farming projects, all rooted in real classroom practice. We look forward to the next phase.

CTR21 Teachers on the Move in Sint Maarten! 🇸🇽
We proudly celebrate the CTR21 certification of teachers from Sister Magda Primary School and Rev. John A. Gumbs Campus in Sint Maarten. Masha Pabien! 🎉
The presentations were hosted by the University of St. Martin, providing a strong space for dialogue, reflection, and professional growth. Throughout this phase, teachers demonstrated outstanding dedication, enthusiasm, and a clear willingness to grow as reflective practitioners within their own classrooms.
We now move into the next phase of the CTR21 project where teachers will execute their own research projects, applying research directly to their classroom and school contexts. A range of topics will be explored, including language, mathematics, reading, and social issues in the classroom. We look forward to the research results.
A special congratulations is also extended to our dynamic CTR21 coaches, Juliana Shipley-Hodge and Marva Sam-Arrindell for their guidance, commitment, and support.

Congratulations to the Dr. Albert Schweitzer School F.O on the island of Curacao for the successful completion of their CTR 21 certification! 🎓✨
Under the great guidance of CTR 21 Coach Olav Geijs of the UOC, the participating teachers have demonstrated true dedication to developing an inquiry mindset exploring their own classroom practices, asking meaningful questions, and engaging in research that leads to real change in education.

The teachers of basisschool Prinses Amalia in Aruba are on a roll! They just started the first sessions of the CTR21 course.
In these sessions, they reflected on their own perceptions of the inquiry mindset and how they already apply these skills in the classroom. They also explored literature on different ways to stimulate research-based activities—both at the teacher level and with their students.
