One of the greatest joys of teaching is seeing young pianists grow in both skill and confidence.

Here’s Deaveny performing “𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐥𝐮𝐟𝐟” from Piano Safari Level 1 — a beautiful rote piece that encourages coordination, listening, and expressive musicianship.

Quatre-mains (four-hands) piano playing is an incredibly rewarding experience for young musicians — it builds listening skills, teamwork, rhythm, and a deep musical connection. 🎹✨ I’m so proud to perform Scherzo and Trio, Op. 149 No. 6 by Anton Diabelli with my student Amalia, who did a beautiful job playing the primo part while I accompanied on the secondo.

Mia performing Sonatina Op. 214, No. 2, Movement I by Cornelius Gurlitt.
In this piece, the right hand carries the singing melody while the left hand provides the accompaniment beneath it. One of the most important musical challenges is learning to listen carefully so the melody can sing beautifully above the accompaniment.
So proud of Mia’s expressive and musical performance!
