Den 3 luna, e educadornan aki a siña robotica for di cuminsamento. Na e showcase final, nan a pone tur cos na prueba den 8 diferente stacion:

🔧 Building: asambla e XRP robots
💻 Blockly: progamacion drag-and-drop pa e robot cuminsa move
🐍 MicroPython: un paso mas avansa unda ta usa e mesun coding cu software developers profesional ta usa
⚡ Motors: pa laga e robot move y troubleshoot ora e robot no ta traha bon
📡 Sensors: siña e robot detecta e mundo rond di dje
➡️ Line Following: siña e robot mantene su ruta
🎨 Drawing: usa e robot pa crea simbolonan y portretnan
🌀 Maze Solving: e robot ta usa su motor, su ultrasonic sensors y su programacion pa nabega e maze completamente riba su mes

E maze tabata e ultimo challenge unda e docentenan mester a usa tur cos cu nan a siña.

Time for the “Ban Hisa Nos STEM: Teacher Training” RECAP!🦾

25 teachers walked in to the robotics teacher training program curious. They walked out as robot builders, ready to bring robotics to their school!

Over 3 months, these educators learned robotics from scratch. At the final showcase, they put everything to the test across 8 stations:

🔧 Building: assembling the XRP robot
💻 Blockly: drag-and-drop programming to get the robot moving
🐍 MicroPython: stepping up to real code, like actual software developers do
⚡ Motors: getting it to move and troubleshooting when it didn’t
📡 Sensors: teaching the robot to detect the world around it
➡️ Line Following: keeping it on track
🎨 Drawing: using the robot to create symbols and pictures with code
🌀 Maze Solving: combining motor control, ultrasonic sensors, and programming to navigate a maze completely on its own

The ultimate challenge was the maze. Their robots had to successfully navigate it using everything they had learned.

🇦🇼 Aruban High School Students, this is your chance to represent Aruba in robotics!

We’re excited to announce an opportunity to represent Aruba at the 2026 FIRST Global Challenge, taking place in Incheon, Republic of Korea 🇰🇷 from 7–10 October 2026.

FIRST Global Challenge is an Olympics-style international robotics competition, hosted in a different country each year. This year’s theme, Igniting Innovation 🔥, challenges teams to tackle real-world issues related to wildfires through robotics and STEM solutions.

We will be holding team selection tryouts to assemble Aruba’s national robotics team 🇦🇼🤖

We’re looking for creative, passionate, and self-motivated Content Creators to join our team. You’ll help us tell engaging stories, design visuals, and bring our initiatives and impact to life across our socials. If you love creating, storytelling, and would like to give back your skills to the ABC islands, this is for you!

✨ What you’ll do:
- Design visually engaging posts, reels and stories across our socials (Instagram, Facebook, etc)
- Create content that highlights our STEM initiatives, events, and educational tidbits
- Collaborate with the media team to brainstorm and bring ideas to life
- Help plan and schedule social media campaigns and engagement activities

🔎 What we’re looking for
- You’re a student or professional in a creative digital field
- Skilled in short-form content creation, including filming and editing. Photography skills are a plus!
- Confident using Canva (and bonus points if you use other editing tools too)
- A passion for creative storytelling and design
- A strong sense of purpose. You want to give back to your island and community by volunteering your creative skills
- Self-driven, curious about STEM, and eager to grow in your creative field
- You’ve got ideas, and you’re not afraid to think outside of the box!
- 4 hours per week dedication on a volunteer basis
