☕️ Connecting Future Nurses with Local Healthcare 🏥

Last week, the Uni Hub's Port Lincoln University Centre hosted a Coffee & Chat with the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network and eight of our nursing students. 💉👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

It was a fantastic opportunity for our future healthcare professionals to discuss career pathways in regional healthcare, gain insights from industry experts and build connections for their future in nursing.

On Friday, Sue and Shanon from Uni Hub Spencer Gulf attended the 2025 SA Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association (ICPA) Annual State Conference in Port Augusta. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with passionate educators, parents, and community leaders advocating for equitable access to education in regional and remote areas.

We’re proud to support rural and remote students in achieving their higher education goals, bringing university closer to home. 🎓✨

📢 Meet Our New Port Pirie University Centre Manager – Adrianna Caputo! 🎉

Adrianna is a proud Port Pirie local, having completed all her schooling here before earning a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) in 2022. She understands the challenges of university life and is passionate about supporting students to succeed.

Earlier this month, the University of Adelaide delivered its Introduction to Project Management short course at the Copper Coast University Centre. It was fantastic to see local participants gaining valuable skills to apply in their workplaces.

This one-day course is perfect for those in operational roles with limited or no prior knowledge of project management principles and tools. It's a great opportunity to upskill without having to travel far!

Following our inaugural events in 2024, the Local Jobs Program is proud to partner with Uni Hub Spencer Gulf and regional organisations on the 2025 Career Roadshows, our premier careers event spanning five key locations in South Australia:

The Career Roadshows connect local communities with employment and career opportunities, showcasing regional businesses, careers, higher education, training, and employment options. Attendees will include school students, job seekers, and career changers, all seeking guidance for their future paths. With interactive displays, attendees will have the chance to explore career opportunities, apply for jobs, and enrol in courses on-site. It’s a unique platform for organisations to engage directly with the future workforce, networking with other business to encourage business development opportunities, and promotes industry growth.
