Do something life-changing! Volunteer to teach ethics at CPPS.

Ethics classes help children develop the life skills they need to voice their opinions, listen respectfully to others and make decisions based on evidence and reasoning rather than habit or peer pressure.

Classes at CPPS are moving to a Thursday at 2.30pm in 2024. We need 3 more volunteers to teach our ethics classes next year.

Primary Ethics offer free training, full lesson material and ongoing support. You’ll get as much out of it as the children do! Visit primaryethics.com.au to learn more.

At CPPS so many extra activities take place beyond the school day enriching the lives of our students. An example of this, was the wonderful two day band camp at Sydney Academy of Sport, Narrabeen where our band students experienced sleeping away from home, even our Year 3s! The band camp offers tutorials, performance opportunities, movies, games, walks, paddle boarding, bush fires and cooking damper! The highlight being the concert on Sunday afternoon where all our bands 3-6, play together in an extraordinary performance of ‘Happy’. Thanks go to all the hardworking teachers and parents who organised, taught and supervised the students. 🎶🎼🎵

Congratulations to our future film makers who have been selected by ‘Film by Festivals’. The festival showcases the visual literacy and film making talents of students in public schools K-12. The aim of any ‘Film by Festival’ is to promote the teaching of visual literacy and film making through the creation of high quality, entertaining, informative short films that use the English, Creative Arts and PDHPE Syllabuses as the foundation for collaborative and creative work.
Thanks go to our Drama teacher, Ms MacPherson for giving our students this wonderful opportunity.

The annual CPPS Year 6 Mini Fete encourages the students to be entrepreneurs! They had to design and create a stall to entertain and engage the students from Kindergarten to Year 5. The competition element on the stalls certainly made them popular and of course, the bags of lollies! 🍭🍬🍩

NAIDOC Week is an Australian observance lasting from the first Sunday in July until the following Sunday. The acronym NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines' and Islanders' Day Observance Committee.

The 2023 national NAIDOC Week theme is For Our Elders. Across every generation, our Elders have played, and continue to play, an important role and hold a prominent place in our communities and families. The students have been taking part in activities at school to gain an age-appropriate understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history.

If you would like to see the artworks close up, please come to the APCI room on Open Day to view a range of art produced by the students at CPPS.
