Aquinas College, Gold Coast as joined me on campus last Thursday as part of their newly established - a little initiative started in conjunction with their super passionate STEM / Science Teacher Ms. Eva Nakic. We were fortunate enough to have 3rd year Biomedical student Caelen Lavis converse with the students about her journey to university and her aspirations to end up at Medical School. The students really appreciated the opportunity to talk to someone and get "real" insight into what uni life is all about and about the many paths students can take to get there.

Next stop was ADaPT 1.0 - by far one of the coolest facilities we have on the Gold Coast campus. is always popular with high school kids because its something they commonly interact with at school at all year levels. Through talking to the team ADaPT Institute Kanah Grimm the students saw how design and prototyping really is a possible career option and how relevant it is to industry on the as well as general, real world applications of polymer and alloy printing - they even managed to get their hands on some rocket ship spare parts and bone prototypes!

Just another opportunity to showcase STEM to high school students and broaden their minds to the never ending opportunities that are out there beyond their school gates.
