Our hockey girls Charli Bradley and Kylie Annandale have returned form the recent state championships in Townsville having made the grand final match and come away with the silver medal ! Wonderful achievement girls 🤩
They had a great time away, so many learning experiences and were taken back by the enormous amount hockey talent on display
Their focus now turns on the Gold Coast representative team preparations for upcoming competitions first week of school holidays.

Year 7 & 10 ADP Camp is underway!!
Great first day with plenty of activities, sunshine & good times.

Get ready to lace up your running shoes because the annual Varsity Secondary College Viking Interhouse Cross Country is just around the corner, happening in only 3 weeks!!
📅 When: Wednesday, Week 1 of Term 2
📍 Where: Pizzey Park, Gold Coast
Please take note: Students will gather for roll call in the morning at 8:15 am at the college, and then we'll hop on buses to head over to the Pizzey Park for the X-Country championships. Afterward, we'll return to the college for a normal 12:45 pm finish of the school day.
All students must come dressed in their vibrant house colours and wear enclosed shoes suitable for running or jogging. Don't forget your hats and sunscreen, and be sure to pack enough food and drink for the day (though a canteen will be available on-site).
The X-Country event promises to be an exciting day of house competition, and we're counting on each of you to give it your all with an 'Honest Effort'!
🏆 Top place-getters and minor place-getters will have the chance to compete for age championships and possibly represent the college at the Oceanic District X-Country championship later in Term 2.
Let's rally together, Vikings, and make this year's X-Country event one to remember!

Varsity Viking ADP Girls ‘Shine in the Pool and on the Beach’ !
Last weekend witnessed a large number of our Viking ADP athletes competing at state level competitions in the pool and on the track and beach. We congratulate all for this fantastic achievement and success of making finals and medaling on the QLD ‘big stage’.
A special mention to the ‘ADP Girl Power’ below, who not only participated against the cream of our state, but also took out individual success and are now crowned QLD Champions.
Roxanne Albertyn (Year 7 ADP) - in the pool at QSSS state swimming championships where she picked up 3 individual gold medals, 2 silver and 1 bronze + 2 relay gold + 1 state record.
Kyra Spence & Jessica Conrad (Year 8 ADP) and Imogen Dowker (Year 10 ADP) on the beach at the Qld Youth State Surf Lifesaving Championships with all the girls winning their respective Ironperson event to be crowned QLD Ironperson Champions

The Varsity College Aspire - Athlete Development program was extremely well represented at the recent Oceanic swimming trials. In total no less than 14 ADP students took to the pool with an exceptional 9 of those students qualifying to the South Coast Carnival to be held next week! One of the outstanding achievements of the day came from Cooper Ravell, who won age champion for the 13yr Boys ! Our water -based athletes have become a real force to be reckoned with, including several state and national level swimmers and surf-life saving athletes. It's tremendous to to see the growth from strength to strength. Great job to all involved !

The staff here mentioned this morning to the kids that these 8s and 9s have been the best group they have worked with in the last 12 months ⭐️ They really have done a wonderful job ! The staff are very proud of their efforts 👏
