Nullawarre & District Primary School
Welcome to Nullawarre & District Primary School. We are a small rural school in a growing community. At NDPS we believe the heart of our school is our students.
Our community has established a wonderful learning environment for all children and families.
Operating as usual

Today was all about fun with electronic robotics including Blu Bots and Dot & Dash! Some are moved by entering codes and others are controlled by iPad Apps. More challenges and fun next week!

Today we had Leading Senior Constables John and Brooke from Victoria Police speaking with students from Years 3-6 about the role of Vic Police, how to be respectful and safe online and where to get help if needed. They talked to the students about group chats, bullying, exclusion, watching for online predators, having a balance between online and offline times, and when needed, being an upstander rather than a bystander.
Their key message was CYBER, C for communicate, Y for you, B for balance, E for educate and R for respect.
Unfortunately, we have had some negative behaviours taking place after school hours through Social Media Apps. including Kids Messenger.
We ask that parents monitor their children’s behaviours when online, monitor how long children are on their devices, and where are they when on a device for example, in a shared space rather than being in isolation in their bedroom.
Always remind your children to only play online games with people they know and to never share personal information. We ask you to talk to your children about treating others with respect and even asking your children to share with you what they are saying to friends.
We all have a shared responsibility and want the students to make good, safe choices.
For more information, we encourage you to visit esafety.com.au for information about being safe online, parental guidelines, and useful information to help make safe decisions.

Today Year 3/4 had some free play time with Sphero Balls. Sphero Bolt is an app-enabled robotic ball that allows our students to be creative and have fun while learning! We also had some time with cheeky robots, Dot and Dash! Enjoy the photos.

"This year's theme for World Kindness Day was 'Make Kindness a Standard, Not an Exception.' At Nullawarre & District School, students embraced the message by writing positive words and uplifting sayings around the school, spreading kindness throughout the day. As part of the celebration, they also shared the reminder: 'Kindness is Free – Sprinkle That Stuff Everywhere.'"

Show Your Support Like Bob!
Bob is proudly wearing his Canteen bandanna to show support for young people affected by cancer. If you’d like to join him, Penny will have bandannas available at school for the next 3 days.
Each bandanna is just $7, and all proceeds go directly to Canteen to help support young people impacted by cancer.
Get yours before they’re gone and wear it with pride!

On Remembrance Day, November 11th, 2024, Penny and Belle, the oldest and youngest members of our school community, had the honour of laying the wreath to commemorate the lives of those who served and sacrificed for our country. This meaningful gesture served as a poignant reminder of the importance of remembrance, unity, and gratitude.
We thank Penny and Belle for their respectful participation in this ceremony, as well as all those who contributed to making this year's Remembrance Day observance so special.

Timboon P-12 Annual TAPS Day - November 7th, 2024
On Thursday, November 7th, Year 3–6 students from Nullawarre & District Primary School attended the Timboon P-12 annual TAPs On! Day. The event provided students with the opportunity to explore a variety of agricultural topics, including water bugs and hydroponics.
In addition to the agricultural activities, students observed a live rescue demonstration, where emergency services including the SES, CFA, CERT, and Ambulance Victoria worked together to safely extract a person from a car. This collaboration provided valuable insight into the teamwork and expertise involved in real-life rescue operations.
It was a fantastic day filled with learning and hands-on experiences. Thank you to Timboon P-12 for hosting such a wonderful community event.

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We will remember them.

Penny, one of our Year 6 students, is once again selling bandannas for Canteen. The cotton banadannas are $7 and come in a wide variety of designs. The banadannas are in the office if you which to purchase and can be paid via a QR Code.
We love how Penny continually fundraises for these great causes.

Yesterday students from P-2 came together for a fun Maths session. We read the book, Actual Size that highlighted the true size of some amazing animals. Students worked in small groups and measured the ‘actual size’ of these animals using informal units. The buzz in the room was very exciting! Enjoy the photos.

🎉 Happy World Teachers Day! 🎉
Today, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the incredible teachers at Nulla. Your dedication and commitment to going above and beyond for our students does not go unnoticed.
We appreciate the time, effort, and love you put into your work every day. Thank you for inspiring and nurturing the minds of our future leaders!
🌟 We appreciate you! 🌟

As we head home from camp, tired but happy, we reflect on the amazing time we've had at Cave Hill Creek. The memories we’ve made and the friendships we've strengthened will stay with us long after this adventure ends. A big thank you to everyone at Cave Hill Creek for making our stay so special. We can’t wait to share our stories with our families, who we’ll see back at school in just under two hours!

Exciting first day at school camp for our Grade 3-6 students! After settling into our glamping tents, we split into our groups—Kangaroos, Wallabies, and Cockatoos—for a day filled with archery, crate stacking, bike riding, and team-building fun. We wrapped up with delicious chicken schnitzels and are now winding down with a movie. Can't wait for more adventures tomorrow!
