We're IB Hub, Australia's premier online IB tutoring brand, and we're looking for academic tutors familiar with the International Baccalaureate to help build our tutoring practice. You'll experience a range of students from across the world so flexibility with your schedule is a must - as in an open mind and a global outlook.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering high-quality one-on-one tutoring sessions online to students from Australia and New Zealand
- Assessing your students' skill levels and tailoring lesson plans to meet their goals and academic expectations.
- Providing feedback, both written and verbal, on assessment tasks and practice questions.
- Planning sessions to your students' needs and the requirements of the IB syllabus.
- Developing content and in-house resources including video scripts, exam-style questions, and sample answers.
- Ensuring you stay abreast of changes to syllabus and examiner feedback from previous exam sessions.
About you:
- Essential: Experience with the International Baccalaureate (as a student or teacher/tutor)
- Outstanding academic record with strong achievement at a secondary and/or tertiary level (98+ or 40+ in IB with 6/7 in intended area of tutoring)
- Demonstrated interest education and teaching with previous experience as tutor, teacher, coach preferred (although not essential)
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with ability to give constructive feedback
- Patient and encouraging demeanour with a engaging personality
