💕 '... this year’s theme is 'Kindness Culture'. This theme aims to promote a sense of community and belonging for all students and children across Australia. It also aims to encourage inclusion and respect.'
🎵 ‘BULLY-FREE ZONE!’ (K-7), recorded with the kind co-operation of a local primary school, provides a child-friendly, positive behaviours approach to dealing with unacceptable behaviours in schools.
“Students from St Kieran's Catholic Primary School have been involved in the recording of this Keystone Creations song which promotes a positive behaviours/values approach to the serious issue of bullying.
The song lyrics and catchy chorus, 'Bullying is NOT OK - NO WAY!' help students to understand and address this unacceptable behaviour.”

We are so blessed to have you as our school Principal.
Supporting the Vinnies Winter Appeal is one part of the wonderful social justice program we have here at St Kieran’s, engaging students’ ‘Heads, Hearts and Hands’.
Yesterday we had a whole school Pyjama Day and Stage 3 Winter Sleepout to support this important initiative.
Stage 3 students were asked to ‘earn’ their donation for the Sleepout by doing extra jobs around the house and their community.
Congratulations to Zac (Year 4) and Sophie (Year 6) who attended NSW State Parliament House Today for the Bear Pit Finals.
This is a competition that is run by James Griffin MP, with all schools in our electorate. Both these students were outstanding and delivered an incredible speech with such passion and conviction.
A special congratulations to Sophie who won the Stage 3 finals. Both of these students should be incredibly proud of themselves as it is such a huge achievement for them both. A fantastic experience for Sophie and Zac.
Present and past St Kieran's families and staff are warmly invited to our 70th Anniversary celebrations.
Register your attendance at [email protected] by 18 August.

Opal started her basketball journey as a local Manly junior before commencing at the School of Excellence in Canberra for Basketball, a school where many Olympians have attended.
Well done Opal, we look forward to continuing to follow your basketball journey.
Our canteen is run by our wonderful Canteen Manager Crystal and a team of Parent/ Grandparent volunteers. We are looking for some volunteers to help with some upcoming dates in the canteen.

Today Grade 4 took the school on a ‘journey’ to Japan for their annual school assembly.
They boarded Japanese Airlines to Tokyo and visited the sites and explored the culture. Along the way they shared their knowledge of Japanese language, martial arts, cherry blossoms, Midori (the world’s oldest Koala) all whilst enjoying the ‘inflight entertainment’ of Pokémon and feasting on the delicious Japanese cuisine served by the cabin crew.
All was made possible due to our marvellous Captain Joshua.
The content was taken from the exciting lessons provided by our wonderful Diocese of Broken Bay- Japanese Stem teachers.
Touch of Red for Pentecost.
The students wore a touch of red and completed activities in class for Pentecost which was on Sunday 28th May. This was organised by the Year 6 Mission Team to celebrate this significant event in our liturgical calendar.
We were blessed today with a visit from the Catholic Schools Broken Bay Director of Schools, Mr Danny Casey.
Mr Casey spent time having morning tea with our Teachers, affirming their great work, and being showed through the classrooms by the excited students who were asking many inquisitive questions.
Thank-you for the visit Mr Casey, we look forward to your next visit!
During Reconciliation week, Year 1 reflected on the importance of Dreaming stories and connecting to country.
We loved reading Kookoo Kookaburra by Gregg Dreise, which taught us all about listening to our elders and spreading kindness.
We used the book as inspiration to paint natural landscapes with Indigenous elements.
Students had a special visitor for Wellbeing Week. Frankie spread joy and was great for staff and student mental health!
We can't wait for another visit soon from Frankie!
Our principal Ms Marsella loved story time with the preschoolers at Manly Vale Early Learning Centre. The children enjoyed the story about friendships and shared their experiences of what friends mean to them.
Japanese Day in Year 3 has been a great success!
The students continued their learning about Japanese culture and the importance of growing seaweed and its benefits to humans and animals.
The students then made their own Koala onigiri (Japanese rice balls).
It was a delicious way to learn!
We would love to invite our St Kieran's families and the wider community to our Playgroup this coming Monday 5th June from 9am-10am.
