Although the past few days have been sunny and warm here in Sydney, it still gets very cold at night.
We can take for granted the fact that we have warm, cozy beds to sleep in every night.
It costs $57 to give someone who is unhoused a night off the streets.
That is why 10 percent of all registration fees for my Winter Warmer 1-Day Retreat will go to give some folks in need a night off the streets.
Loving our neighbors may seem like a daunting task, but as Mother Teresa said, “Not all of us can do great things, but we can all do small things with great love.”
Looking forward to sharing a cozy, nourishing day together and doing something small together that will make a big difference to someone in need.
Please share and DM me for retreat details.

Brutal Honesty vs Self-Condemnation
There is a HUGE difference between being honest with yourself and berating yourself.
When we berate ourselves we tell ourselves, that we can’t do it, we are not good enough, so we shouldn’t bother trying. We are actually giving ourselves a way out of the challenge la set before us.
When we are brutally honest with ourselves, we stop hiding behind excuses. We look at what is wrong or what is not working and
we figure out how to fix it or change it. The truth empowers us to make needed changes.
The next time you find yourself saying things to yourself like, I can’t. I’m not good enough, ask yourself, If I can’t now, what would I need to do or change so that I could? If I’m not good enough now, what needs to happen so that I am good enough?
These questions will give you solutions and a plan.
Moving across the world at the age of 40 wasn’t easy. It’s harder to make true friends when everyone is busy with kids, work and adulting, but the process has taught me so much about the preciousness of genuine connections.
My passion for yoga, meditation and coaching is really a passion for people. I love connecting with other humans, learning about their lives, aspirations and struggles. And one of my favorite ways to do this is through my 1-Day Wellness Retreats.
Participants often comment that they didn’t realize how much they needed a day to unplug and restore until they actually set aside the time to do it. The sense of relief they feel is a salve to the soul. Even people who attend yoga classes regularly say, that these 1-Day Retreats offer a much deeper level of immersion and rejuvenation. And that experiencing it with a friend amplifies the benefits.
The Upcoming Winter Warmer 1-Day Retreat on 17 Aug offers you the perfect opportunity to step outside of your routine without the need to pack a bag or book a flight. You will experience warm vinyasa yoga, cleansing breath work, guided meditation to relieve stress and dream weaving to release limiting beliefs and create new pathways to your highest potential.
This one-time only Duo Discount is a great way to spend a special day with a friend, sibling, parent or child, enjoying yoga, breath work, meditation, healthy food and deep relaxation,
Use the Code FRIEND20 BEFORE Midnight 1 Aug to receive your discount. Even if you don’t have someone in mind to invite now. once you take that step, the perfect person will pop into your mind. That’s how intention works. If you build it, they will come.:)
I can’t wait to spend the day with you, and yours, warming ourselves from the inside out, shedding the heavy layers of Winter and dreaming into being all the possibilities for Spring!

I love this blessing from Sarah Bessey. May we all be a light in the dark times of someone else’s journey.
This is my other brother, Doug. He passed away one year ago today. This photo was taken the last time I saw him.
My heart is heavy today but I know I’ve got a linebacker of an angel watching out for our whole family. I feel him with us when we are laughing and being silly. He loved my kids and loved to make them laugh.
I wish he’d had more time but I’m so grateful for the time we had.
I LOVE THIS!!
Something I learned from a student who attends ALANON.
How often do we assume that when someone shares a problem that they want our advice or help?
9 times out of 10 people want to be heard first, then maybe hugged and eventually helped.
This means we helpers have to exert some self control and start by LISTENING. Sometimes this is the biggest help of all.
It’s so great to be back in NYC and to enjoy it through the eyes of my 11 year old son who hasn’t been back since we made our unplanned move to Australia.
I love jumping into the fray of sights, sounds, smells and tastes, but I also remember that when you live it on a daily basis it takes a toll on the nervous system.
That’s why I’m really looking forward to sharing an afternoon of MELLOW FLOW and DEEP RELAXATION at Kula Yoga in SoHo to restore your bodies and minds.

"I felt a familiar whisper in my heart, “Heaven is closer than your own breath.” I’d been here before- on meditation retreats and after fasting, in prayer and in song, at times when I’d stepped out of my routine and into the flow of life itself."

Last Sunday was a triumph, as I was able to run further and faster than ever before, but the week that followed was quite challenging, physically and emotionally.
Nit feeling week gave me the opportunity to pause and reflect on old patterns, to see clearly how in certain situations I’ve been running on a very outdated operating system.
And while it wasn’t the most fun, I’m incredibly grateful, because it also allowed me to stop running those systems and install something new, something more efficient and beneficial.
Feeling much better now and so looking forward to the next opportunity to run my new program. (And my next 26kms;)
Bottom line: Don’t be afraid to stop and unplug so you can install a much needed upgrade. You’ll be better for it in the long run. 😉
Here’s to a new week of health, fun, wisdom, joy and success.
Winter Solstice
International Yoga Day
Full Moon
Well, since I’ve done 5 yoga classes today. Im going to conclude my celebration by going to bed at 8:30pm.😂🧘♂️🌕
We don’t have too many of these photos- where everyone is dressed up and smiling at the camera.
If you zoom in you’ll notice Cassidy has jokeresque amounts of red lipstick on, but I’ll take it. 😘
As the kids get older it gets harder to hold on. Making time to sit down together at least once a day and eat, laugh, listen and pray has become one of my main goals.
It doesn’t make them immune to challenges, but it does mean they will know 100% where to go and what to do when challenges arise.
My intention is that these kids grow up knowing that we have their back, that God is for them and that they are highly capable, compassionate and resilient humans.
If I was worried about how I looked I’d be in trouble.😂
But seriously, when I was younger I spent a lot of time in front of the mirror trying to remove, correct and conceal anything that might open me up to rejection.
Once i had kids I was too busy and tired to look in the mirror, and do you know what? I felt much better about myself.
In working with a young woman recently who was struggling with the belief, “How I look determines how I feel”, we discovered that in fact this is true, but not in the way we expect.
It’s not how we appear to others that determines how we feel.
How we look at ourselves and how we see the world determines how we feel.
We can look at ourselves and others with eyes of love or eyes of criticism.
Loving eyes will make us feel loved.
Critical eyes will make us feel judged.
When you decide how you want to look, you are also deciding how you want to feel.
It’s your choice. Choose love. Love is always the best option.

Perfect spot for a quick meditation and prayer session.
Prayer is when we talk to God.
Meditation is when we listen.
I’ve been trying to listen more and talk less.
Hearing the whisper of love in the creaking of boats, the caw of gulls, the laughter of kids is just a tiny taste of the sweetness on offer when we get still and listen.
Sitting by the fire. Releasing old habits, resentments, fears.
Welcoming in new ways of seeing, relating, connecting.
The beautiful prayers of children for our planet, our people, our earth brought me to tears.
Motivation Monday
It’s as simple as that. We all only have 24 hours in the day and a certain amount of energy, but we all get to choose what we think, what we say and even what we do much more often than we realize.
If you have a goal you gotta make room for it in your life. Otherwise it is just a hope or a dream.
I’m thrilled to announce that The Radiant Woman 1-Day Retreat has sold out.
Not only does this mean I get to share the amazing practices and powerful tools I use for myself and my clients with so many beautiful women, it’s also an opportunity to witness the magic that happens when a vision turns into reality.
This is really one of the greatest opportunities we have in life- whether it is a vision for a new home, career, adventure, relationship, body or anything else that makes your heart sing, knowing that you can ask and it will be given is an incredible gift.
Through faith and inspired action, anything is possible.
As Art Berg (a quadriplegic athlete and public speaker said) the difficult takes time, the impossible takes just a little bit longer.
Stay tuned new for my next big vision to support and inspire you on your journey to wellness, happiness and joy.
Sending you warmth and wellness.
Love,
Elizabeth

SUPERSOUL SUNDAY:
So incredibly proud of my husband, Nick for stepping up to the call to share his journey of faith in church today.
It’s not easy to be vulnerable in front of large crowd, but he did it beautifully and honestly. I know his story spoke to the experience of so many people.
An incredible reminder that whenever we step out in faith, God is there to catch us and lead us to new heights.
To all you powerful, wonderful, capable, caring, compassionate, intelligent, honest, brave woman who make the world a better place- I see you. I thank you. I love you.
Keep being you. The world needs what you have.
Tag a woman who you admire.
The yogic precept of truthfulness is intended, not to make us feel guilty about lying, but to help reduce the agitation in our minds when what we think and say and do are not in harmony.
It’s really simple. dishonesty puts our minds in an endless loop of agitation because we are constantly trying to justify and cover up the lie.
Honesty mind be harder at first, but very quickly the mind settles because there is nothing to defend, debate or hide.
Truthfulness leads to a peaceful mind.
KISS is an acronym often used to stand for keep it simple stupid. But I don’t think that’s very nice at all.
I first decided to change it to “keep it simple sweetheart”
Simple is good, but I thought if something better.
Keep your vision clear
Imagine your outcome
Speak it into being
Surrender to the process
These four keys are the answer to any problem.
First you need to stop looking at the problem and start looking for the solution.
Second you need to imagine the problem solved in the form of the outcome you desire.
Third you must speak about it in the positive. Even if you’re struggling, speak about your progress and your vision more than your problem and your doubts.
And fourth surrender to the process. You can’t make the harvest come sooner. It will happen when the time is right, when you are perfectly ripened.
Happy Leap Day!

We ALL want success in every aspect of our lives, but often we are not willingly to embrace the things that will get us there.
Any movement beyond your comfort zone will bring:
1. Uncertainty
2. Discomfort
3. Criticism
4. Change
5. Fear
In my next newsletter I’ll talk more about why these 5 elements are unavoidable on your journey to success and how to work with them rather than against them.

I’m no food photographer but this meal is delicious.
It’s my favorite busy mid-week family meal.
Why?
I can sauté the veggies while the oven is heating up, pour veggies and eggs into the dish.
Then I can leave it in the oven for 25 minutes while I play softball with Cassidy.
It’s gluten free, meat free (can be dairy free) and packed with veggies and protein.
Kids love it. and I’ve got lunch sorted for tomorrow!

Right when Griffin and I we’re getting in the groove of our morning runs he had a fall at school and ripped his calf open.
When I arrived at the school I thought it must be no biggie bc he wasn’t crying. Turns out that was because all the nerves were cut.
When they took off the bandage at the first hospital we went to I almost passed out. And I typically have no issue w blood.
I tried not to react and just hold it together for him and remember all the tools in my toolkit- prayer, breathing, visualization.
So on the way to the next hospital we prayed and imagined all the kind nurses and doctors helping us and telling us that it looked worse than it was, that they could fix it and he would be totally fine.
It took almost 36 hours and lots of patience but that’s exactly what happened.
And what was even more incredible was that when Griffin was about to go into surgery and got bumped for an emergency he said something we heard together on a podcast, “people always think their problems are the most important but obviously the person who needed to go before me had a more important problem.”
And the teacher surpasses the student. 💜🙏
I learned more from him during this ordeal than I could ever teach him.
And 2 days later he is taking an incredibly difficult 4 hour exam to win a scholarship for high school.
We would LOVE to have all your prayers that his leg is fully restored AND he receives this scholarship.
Way to go Griffin!! You are a true champion already!
What is Confidence?
Tomorrow is a BIG day.
I’ll be guiding 35 people through 6 hours of self-care practices.
People have asked me if I think I can do it, or if I’m nervous.
Umm, nope. Not nervous at all.
Of course I can do it!!
Why?
2 reasons:
1. I have 23 years of experience with this kind of work. I kinda know what to expect by now.
2. It’s actually not about me at all.
Once we feel confident we stop thinking about ourselves and start thinking about others.
The question I’m asking now is not: “what will they think of me?”
It’s, “How can I serve them?”
If you’re feeling nervous about doing a “good job” just remember to ask the right question:
How can I serve this person or these people?
Then trust the process and I promise not only will the nerves disappear, you’ll definitely do a GOOD JOB!
