What a special week it has been celebrating 10 years of the Jordan Family owning and running Yogies Playhouse. Back in 2012, Mark and Jeneane purchased the centre with the goal of supporting children and their families through their early years journey. 10 years and countless memories later and we are all so proud of what we have. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey, to our incredible staff who make up the Yogies family and work tirelessly to care for and teach our little ones and of corse our families. Cheers to many more memories ✨

On Monday, our School Prep group got to go on a very special excursion!! 💙💜🧡As part of our school readiness program, we utilise a wide range of resources provided by Pevan and Sarah. Pevan and Sarah provide a wide range of interactive and educational songs and resources linking to the Early Years Learning Framework and Australian Curriculum. When the children heard they were doing a live show, we just had to go! Ms Sarah, Ms Zoe and Ms Jayde and the school prep group ventured out on Monday, travelling in a bus, to attend the live show. The smiles went from ear to ear, the singing was loud and proud and the memories will last a lifetime!! What an amazing experience, we are so glad we got to share this special experience with the children!!
Just a reminder to all families, Jeneane is hosting a Zoom Information session at 7pm to outline the 2023 Fee Relief Payment Program.
All log on details are located on the app!
See you soon !! :)
Today is Day for Daniel
Australia's largest child safety education and
awareness day, honoring and remembering Daniel
All around Australia we ask educators, parents and
carers to educate our kids to keep them safe, help
them identify unsafe situations, teach them to react
and empower them to report abuse and seek help. It's
up to adults to be ready to listen and, most importantly,
How lucky we are to have such dedicated educators !! Ms Jashnita and Ms Varsha put lots of love and effort into our Diwali foyer display! We cannot wait to learn and celebrate next week!! Happy Diwali everyone 🪔✨❤️
Play-based learning 😍 provides opportunities for children to actively and imaginatively engage with people, objects and the environment. Symbolic representation is a critical aspect. When playing, children may be organising, constructing, manipulating, pretending, exploring, investigating, creating, interacting, imagining, negotiating and making sense of their worlds. It promotes the holistic development (physical, social, emotional, cognitive and creative) of a child and depending on how it is utilised, may also support a broad range of literacy and numeracy skills. The teacher's role in scaffolding play is pivotal, and a role all educators at take seriously at Yogies.
Our butterfly garden 🪴🦋 I thought I would share some pictures of our first butterfly that hatched in our butterfly garden yesterday. There is another chrysalis that should hatch either today or tomorrow and then the other 2 that will hopefully hatch next week! The chrysalis will turn from a green colour to a dark colour and then transparent right before the butterfly hatches 🏼
The caterpillars are getting much bigger and fatter so we are hoping to see them build their chrysalis’ soon!!
Very exciting times, the children were very excited! I would love to hear any names your children can suggest for our first butterfly hatchling 🦋
Have a wonderful long weekend everyone 🤍🤍
Good evening Yogies families and friends,
Next month, I’ll be walking 40km in One Foot Forward to show people living with mental illness that they are not alone.
My goal is to raise funds for the Black Dog Institute to support crucial mental health research and support services to help Australians impacted by metal illness.
Sadly, 1 in 5 people experience symptoms of mental illness each year. In fact, every day in Australia, 8 people will die by su***de.
Mental illness can be debilitating and can have a devastating impact on not only those living with it, but those around them.
I would appreciate anyone who is in a position to sponsor me and support my 40km challenge to change lives.
Simply click here to make a donation through my page:
Or if you would like to join my team ‘Stronger Together’ please let me know! I would love for the the group to grow and work together to raise awareness and funds for this important cause.
Together, we can create a mentally healthier world, for everyone.
Thank you Mr Greg for coming to celebrate Pirate week with us !! We had lots of fun engaging in the Swagful of Instruments Incursion this morning dressed up as little pirate!! Arghhh 🏴☠️🦴🎶
Belonging is a fundamental part of
inclusion and the Early Years Learning Framework and is so highly valued here at Yogies. Developing a sense of belonging is something we support all our children in establishing. This graphic by showcases how vital belonging is for all children.
