If you’re drawn to the visual arts, moving images, and storytelling, animation might be the career for you. And you're in luck, we have a pathway for that (no 85 ATAR score required).
Animators are visual storytellers who apply their creativity in a dynamic, fast-growing industry. But a surprising number of myths still linger about what animation can offer.

If you’re looking to get into nature, you have to visit the Blue Mountains this summer. Discover iconic lookouts and waterfalls, historic walking tracks, mountain biking, Aboriginal culture, adventure sports, and camping. 🏔️🗺️
It takes 1.5 hours to drive there from Sydney or 2 hours by train. There are also group travel providers, and sometimes ActivateUTS even run a trip there (keep an eye out next semester).

We're hosting a student panel on ATAR day for all the Year 12s who didn't get the ATAR they need. It sucks, but there are other options for you (we promise). It's on Thursday 14 December from 8pm (AEST) and online.

Applications for the UTS College to UTS Scholarship are now open! 🎓📚
This scholarship was established by UTS to support the UTS College Pathway Program and support international students to succeed as they articulate to their UTS undergraduate degrees. The recipient scores 50% off their tuition fees (which is huge).
There is some criteria you have to meet and you do have to submit an application online. Applications close 26 January.

It’s nearly summer and that’s the perfect time to get outside and explore Sydney. We’re going to be sharing some of our favourite activities to do. Starting with the Bondi to Coogee walk. ☀️
This is a two to three hour walk along the coastline with many beaches along the way. Stop along the way for a dip in the ocean or walk the whole the track taking in the beautiful coastal landscape.

If you guessed the UTS Law Students' Society, you would be correct. They're the representative body for UTS law students that caters to all educational, vocational, social and wellbeing needs. They run over 130 initiatives a year hosting everything from career workshops to their famous, Law Ball.

Sometimes life takes a turn in a different direction, which was certainly the case for UTS College alum, Gus.
After realising aviation wasn't for him and missing out on a place in an Architecture degree at UTS, he started studying a Diploma of Design and Architecture with us as an alternative way into UTS.
Needless to say it worked out, because he won the Outstanding Graduate award for his diploma and is now studying at UTS with some classes in the Frank Gehry building (an architectural icon).
