International Cake Show Australia & ACADA

We're so excited about the appointment of ACADA's new Australian, New Zealand and International Ambassadors. They consist of many of the world's most influential Cake, Cookie and Sugar Artists. Their mission is to forge the partnerships needed to grow International Cake Show Australia and the Australasian Cake Decorating Industry. We couldn't be more thrilled about the excitement these appointments have created. Thank you to the Australian High Commission for supporting us. This will result in a win / win situation where everyone within the Australian Cake, Sugar Craft and Baking Industries will benefit. Forging strong international partnerships will also mean the Ultimate Australian Cake Decorating Competition at International Cake Show Australia and visitation will soar! That's great news for our members, competitors, our vendors, business partners, visitors and the Australian economy!

The ability to be able to compete at an international standard encourages us all to grow.

How gorgeous is this stunning little fairy. It was the International Cake Show Australia sugarcraft competition piece created by ACADA member Mary Presicci from Mary Presicci Sugar Art from Italy.

Did you know Mary is one of ACADA’s international Ambassadors. She is responsible for developing relationships between Australia and her country, encouraging Italian sugar artists and businesses to visit our show and for sharing her amazing skills here in Australia. How lucky were these students at the show who got the opportunity to train with her in April

Welcome to new professional ACADA member, the very talented Vicky Chang from ona.rina.icing in Taiwan.

About Vicky:

Vicky is a fully accredited PME/Wilton master trainer. She travelled to International Cake Show Australia this year with a huge group of talented Taiwanese students. They came to compete and boy did they scoop up a lot of the prizes.

In 2023 Vicky’s incredible royal icing entry was awarded ICSA Show Champion.

Our Asian competitors have so much talent. They know techniques and use ingredients that aren’t widely known here. ACADA will be working this year with Vicky, ACADA member Mio Shih and several of our high profile multi award winning Australian sugar artists to design a training program for any of our members or competitors that are interested in bringing their skills up to an international standard. This will ensure everyone is competing on an even playing field.

Vicky has been nominated for one of ACADA’s official Taiwan Ambassador roles at the upcoming AGM. We are very blessed to have someone of such a high calibre representing ACADA
