Thanks to all those who came to the sold out event!
ππ 2021 HIGHLIGHT! ππ
It was an absolute career highlight for me having the opportunity to host 'Conversations on the Couch' with Craig Silvey author of Honeybee, and Stella Budrikis - Writer author of Baby Farm, as part of the Big Sky Readers and Writers Festival 2021.
Many of my former students can tell you how much I loved to teach Craig Silvey's Jasper Jones, and Honeybee is an equally important book and great read.
Baby Farm, by Stella Budrikis, is a fascinating insight into the early history of Perth and the awful social constraints leading to the phenomena of 'baby farms'.
My heartfelt thanks to these two wonderful authors, WA Centre for Rural Health, and the hard-working staff at Geraldton Regional Library for putting together the wonderful Big Sky Readers and Writers Festival 2021. My favourite Midwest event!

UPDATE: THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT.
