Check out the story our Toddler 2 children wrote for Halloween. It is called, 'Roar the Monster', and is read by one of our amazing Educator's, Semeel. The pictures were also illustrated by our Toddler 2 children and a copy of the book will be included in our centre library.

Juli has been in the industry for 3 years and is a relief educator this year. Juli is also our Inclusion Officer which she has been working hard on. Juli is the middle child and has 1 older sister and 1 younger brother. In Juli's spare time she enjoys going out for dinner, watching movies and going bowling with her partner Dylan.

It’s almost Father’s Day
Father’s Day is on Sunday 6 September and [email protected] has some great ideas for families who are looking for a gift that come from the heart.
We’ve uploaded three new Father's Day activities on [email protected], for some fun, home-made gift making. The activities are focused on supporting your child’s early literacy, and their cognitive, fine motor and creative thinking skills.

The materials that Semeel used can be substituted for anything you have at home or in your garden.
For the stripes Semeel used mud mixed with water, for the antlers she used sticks she found in the yard and for the mane she used paper texture hay.

This weeks educator is Kanika.
Kanika has been working in childcare for 5 years and is one of our relief staff this year. When Kanika isn't working she enjoys listening to music, cycling and having barbecues with her husband, family and friends.

Ziba is one of our Teachers and works in the Pre - Kinder room. Ziba has been in childcare for 17 years and has worked with Goodstart for 9 years. Ziba has 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy. In Ziba's spare time she enjoys knitting, sewing and doing craft.

Hina is one of our Teachers and is working in the Kinder room this year. Hina has been in the industry for 22 years and has been with us for almost 1 year. Hina has 2 boys of her own and in her spare time she enjoys reading, arts and craft and crochet.

Here’s a fun little story time of Semeel reading ‘Wombat Stew’ and Semeel decided to make her own wombat stew while reading the book.
All the materials Semeel used were things she had lying around in the house .. you can substitute these materials for anything you have at home or in your garden.
Jen is our Mentor Teacher & Educational leader. She is working from home at the moment and wanted to share a book with all of the children also learning from home.

Christina has been in Childcare for 4 years and has recently joined our team permanently as our cook. Christina has two daughters and 2 gold fish at home. When Christina is not cooking delicious meals she enjoys painting and creating things.

We would like to thank Debbie from Mill Park Bunnings for the wonderful donation of plants and planting supplies. Debbie also provided us with live worms & worm eggs so we can create a worm farm with the Pre-Kinder & Kinder children as part of our inquiry unit.

Brooke has been in childcare for 9 years and is working in the Toddler 2 room this year. Brooke is a middle child of three girls and has a dog named Chloe who she enjoys spending time with. In Brooke's spare time she enjoys doing yoga, reading, shopping and seeing family and friends.

This weeks educator is Semeel.
Semeel has been with us for nearly a year and is working in the Toddler 2 room. In her spare time Semeel enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies and playing cord or board games. Semeel is the oldest of 4 children and the second eldest of 40 grandchildren and this is where her love for children steams from.

Connie has been working with Goodstart since 2003 and has worked in all rooms across the service. This year Connie is working in the Toddler 1 room. In Connie's spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, going shopping and watch the footy and Tennis.

Adam has been working at the Centre since 2014 and during his time here he has worked in the Toddler 2, Pre Kinder and Kinder rooms.
This year Adam is working in the Kinder room alongside Hina.
In Adam's spare time he enjoys watching his mighty Blues and spending time with his family and friends.

Cara has been working at the centre since 2009 and has working in a range of rooms. This year Cara is working in our Nursery room along side Danni and Maria. In Cara's spare time she enjoys spending time with her nieces, nephew and friend and going shopping and watching movies.

Families are spending more time together than ever before, and sometimes that can mean emotions (and behaviours) can go a little off track. We're really excited to share with you a new resource we've developed for families to help them guide and support their children's behaviours and emotions. The Goodstart Family Behaviour Support Kit has information and resources to help support your child to understand and manage their emotions and help them learn how to communicate their needs in an appropriate way. It's a physical kit provided by your centre and includes a multitude of helpful tools and tips!
Unfortunately this is only free for Kinder children only however you can purchase them for $27.50 off [email protected].
In the next few months we will be introducing our staff and telling you about each of them.
This weeks staff member is Meagan.
Meagan is our Admin Assistant in the office and works 4 days a week. Meagan does a great job helping families with their accounts and bookings. Meagan has 3 beautiful children and a dog Mr Chow. Meagan has been at the centre for 4 years. On the weekend Meagan likes to go shopping and watch her children play sport.
