Youth In Business

Helping people turn their passions into an income generating business with entrepreneurial guidelines, coaching & mentorship.

Operating as usual

This is my new Youth in Business project in Sydney.

Teaching kids under 10years old how to create their own pocket money. The project teaches them:

1. How to set a goal to buy your favourite toy
2. Pick a product that you have made in the past
3. How to make that product with out spending much money by just using stuff around the house.
4. How to price up the product so it covers your future costs and makes you additional money
5. How to plan your sales to make sure you make enough to cover your costs and buy your toy.
6. How much to pay someone who wants to come in on your project and help you out.
7. How to sell your product and who to sell to.

Over all, how to make your own pocket money, have fun, be productive and learn about the real world and how to survive financially out there!

Their aim is to inspire and set an example for other kids to be pro active, creative, stop watching iPads and computer games and get busy after school creating your life.

If anyone lives in Sydney and would like to support these kids, go to their page and place an order for cupcakes for your next kids party, or staff gathering, or school afternoon tea breaks.

They do a big discount for bulk orders! ;)

This is the business project my current youth in business class is doing.

My Year 8 and 9 Youth in Business class at Narre Warren Sth P-12 College is about to launch their first ever business model. Fully managed and operated by the students, they will launch an event management business. They have been learning how to take any idea and make money from it. They have combined an idea they came up with and a purpose they all share which is to Inspire other young people to share their talents by creating a platform for them to express themselves on. The tickets are $5 at the door and all proceeds will go to these kids who mostly come from disadvantaged backgrounds and are learning how to generate income as opposed to going on the dole or streets when they leave school. Thanks to our partners, we are able to provide job opportunities, sporting opportunities and business opportunities for them as well. Put the date aside and come and support our next generation of leaders!

If you know anyone who has worked in the Pacific Island or NZ community or who has achieved great things worth acknowledging then nominate them by messaging me their full name and why you think they deserve recognition. This is an initiative that we are putting together to acknowledge all the hard work that goes on un acknowledged. Specifically the achievements of those who work amongst the Pacific Triangle community.
Like the page and check out the award catagories.

Finally Youth in Business is part of the education system and now a subject the kids can choose at school!

Take your passion for music and turn it into a paid career

Take your art skills and become a freelance artist and charge for your time

Turn your fashion ideas into your own design company

Take your talent from the street to make your own Barber Shop!

I asked one our pacific youth leaders to design an image of a brother who represents the power and the struggle of all indigenous people to rise up and build their own resources to serve their own communities and this is what he came up with. It will be used for our Youth in Business project.

Are you ready to learn how to start your own business?

I was honoured to be invited to speak at this state wide Christian gathering with youth leaders and church members. I had a chance to share my testimony and provide my Youth in Business program to the youth groups present as a free service to help them develop skills to create jobs instead of applying for jobs. The kids will create the future. We have to create the right mindset in the kids.

Yesterday I was Speaking as part of a panel of experts for the National Youth Conference for Incubate Australia. An African youth entrepreneur conference. Showing them how to get something started successfully using little to no money using technology.

Our radio station cafe is almost complete. 4 more days to official launch. Built by community volunteers out of recycled and restored, donated refurbished items.

Another one of our students started this organisation to support the New Zealand community in australia

This is a program launched by another one of our students. It's a radio station cafe. To give a voice to today's youth leaders.

This is a business another one of our students started that deals with family domestic violence issues and supplies support programs for those affected

Another one of our students launched this support network for those who are trying to change their lives for the better

Another one of our students launched this organisation which focuses on teaching technology to the elderly as a non profit organisation.

One of our students launched this non profit business that looks after families through the legal processes and gives moral support and guidance. Well done Polly Anna!

Recently Youth in Business in partnership with Iron Armour Academy took one of the most influential African teenagers in the country and set him up with a full African Youth non profit soccer academy with structure, programs, lesson plans and seasonal plans for on and off season. As a result some of the kids who were gang affiliated have now found a new family of positive role models and this is one of the tournaments that was held, planned and executed by the youth leaders. I little support goes a long way!

We have just been donated 2 of these aircraft to work on and get them ready for flight. We aren't aviation engineers but it's amazing what can happen when you just decide that you can be something that your not. You end up becoming what you have decided to be.

The Community Radio Cafe Editing Studio. This is our custom made recording studio where we can edit and layer tracks and take young talent off the streets and give them a shot at a professional recording. Creating opportunities for our youth.
