Ready, set, go! It's time for us to start balancing Family Tax Benefit (FTB) for the 2018-19 financial year.

We do this to check we paid you the right amount. We compare the amount we paid you, based on your family income estimate, with what you were eligible for, based on your actual family income.

If we didn't pay you enough during the year, we may pay you a top up.

If we paid you too much, this is an overpayment you'll need to pay back.

We'll also work out if you're eligible for any supplements.

Keep in mind, if you owe us money, we can recover it from your FTB top ups and supplements when we balance your payments.

Mel's Angels would like to wish a very Happy Mother's Day to all the mums we know. We hope you've had a lovely day and have been reminded how amazing you all are, and how important you are to your families!

A huge thanks to everyone who made time to come to the Mother's Night on Friday night to see our Children's Art Gallery and Live Painting exhibition! Special thanks to the mums who shared their stories and also to our talented friend Sondy who created this beautiful artwork based on the stories she heard during the night. It really was a lovely celebration of motherhood and a great opportunity for the children to learn more about art too!

If you loved Sondy's artwork, you might like to know that it's being put up for a (silent) auction! Proceeds will be donated to charity. As we say goodbye to 2015 we would like to thank you for being part of Mel's Angels this year. We felt very spoilt with the Chirstmas Gifts from you all, thank you!

We would also like to say a HUGE thanks to you all for everyone who contributed to our amazing Shoebox appeal this year. 40 children around the world received Christmas Gifts this year!

These gifts travelled 4000-8000km "by boat, horse, truck or even on people’s heads to kids in villages, slums and remote country areas" and were sent to:

28 Boys and 8 Girls aged 2-4 in Thailand
4 Girls aged 2-4 in Fiji

We're really proud of everyone involved. Well done!

This week some of our 4yo Kinders made Herb Scones to go with Lunch!

Sarah our cook helped the children pick, smell and taste herbs fresh from our veggie garden. They then washed, cooked and kneaded the sticky dough!
