I'm fighting back.....
Parents are entitled to work as an educator and have their child at home or send them to a daycare for what ever reason suits them. There are parents who don't work at all and hence their children in child care....why do they receive CCB? They too could look after their children.
I'm an educator who lived 9,230 kms from my family we didn't know anyone in this country. I choose to send my child to another family day care so I could work and he could make more friends. It was the best thing for both of us. Some children don't cope well with sharing their Mums all day everyday. Those Mums should still be able to work in family day care too.
Everybody's circumstance is unique.

[08/18/13]   Current Vacancies
----------------

3 Full Time Vacancies for children aged 0-5 years old, 10 hours each day 5 days a week (Monday to Friday)

3 Part Time Vacancies for after school care children aged 5 - 12 years 4.5 hours each day 5 days a week (Monday to Friday)

[08/18/13]   What will you need to provide and what will I provide
---------------------------------------------

For 0-5 Years old children you would need to provide food and nappies.

For 5-12 Years old kids, I am happy to provide fruits and snacks, if you want full course meal I am happy to provide it on a very small charge.

For children with Muslim faith I can cater for 100% halal food. The toilet is fitted with muslim showers and the room is also set up for prayers.

For children with meat restrictions I would be very careful with the food for them according to their faith.

If your child have some other special need feel free to advise me and I will endeavour to cater it for them.

Usually the day starts at 7am but as a family day care worker I am only allowed to work 10 hours a day, so I can adjust the time for you if you are working and have issue in picking up.

Rest assured I have my family day care dedicated to children with warm home feeling with Childcare Style Play Area along with lots of toys and care, your child would be happy here.

[08/13/13]   How is it similar to centre based child care?

Family day care provides early childhood education and care services for children across Australia.
Family day care operates under the same National Quality Framework (NQF) as other forms of childcare; incorporating national regulations, quality and qualification standards, educational frameworks and an assessment and ratings process.
Parents are eligible to the same Federal Government Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate subsidies.
How is it different to other forms of child care?

Your child’s education and care is provided by an individual educator who is an approved, early childhood education and care professional, operating within their own home.
Educators work with small groups of no more than four children under school age.*
Educators work in partnership with a local coordination unit who provide regular visits to monitor the children’s progress and to provide support.
* An educator may care for 3 additional school age children, outside of school hours. Ratios currently vary between states & territories. This will be standardised nationally on Jan 1, 2014.

[08/13/13]   What is family day care?

Family Day Care is an approved form of child care that is provided in the family day care educators own home. [08/13/13]   About family day care educators

Family day care educators are approved, early childhood education and care professionals who engage in the principles and practices of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and work within the requirements of the National Quality Framework.

Hold or be actively working towards a Certificate III level education and care qualification.
Meet national standards which include maintaining quality learning programs, safe and hygienic learning environments, record keeping and qualifications.
Maintain current first aid and CPR certificates and training in the emergency management of asthma and anaphylaxis.
Maintain a clearance for working with children.
Participate in regular support and monitoring visits conducted by their coordination unit.
Attend training, meetings and workshops periodically to maintain currency of skills and knowledge.
Maintain current public liability insurance coverage.

[08/13/13]   Did you know that across Australia:

Family day care has operated for over 35 years.
Over 75,000 families use family day care.
Over 117,000 children are enrolled in family day care.
There are over 16,000 family day care educators.
There are over 450 family day care coordination units.
Family day care is the major provider of regulated, flexible, non standard hours child care

[08/13/13]   What are the benefits of family day care?

The home based setting provides a familiar, safe and secure learning environment.
Current research confirms the importance of strong relationships with significant adults to a child’s early learning; family day care’s small group environment facilitates strong bonds and promotes effective early learning and social development.
Family day care can offer care during standard hours, evenings, before/after school, during school holidays and in some cases overnight and weekends.
Family day care can provide education and care for children from babies to school age; offering the possibility for siblings to be cared for together, all in one location.
Family day care provides experiences which reflect the diversity of your community.
