This International Women’s Day, we're celebrating the incredible work of PSC alum Marnie Haddad, whose career has spanned fashion, editorial, commercial, and fine art photography. 📷 ✨
After studying at PSC, Marnie built her craft assisting top commercial photographers, making her mark in Sydney's fashion scene. Returning to Melbourne, she transitioned into fine art portraiture, creating deeply atmospheric worlds – giving her the freedom to craft images on her own terms.
Currently, Marnie is part of The Lipstick Effect, a groundbreaking exhibition for All About Women, showcasing the work of 18 leading Australian female photographers at the iconic Sydney Opera House.
Huge congratulations, Marnie, on continuing to share such important, beautiful work with the world! 🎉

Jessie has a deep love of capturing the natural world, a fascination for the complexity of beautiful things and passion for telling stories. Since graduating she has divided her time between Melbourne and Newfoundland balancing her travel, editorial and lifestyle photography.
Jessie has also travelled to Greenland over a nine year period producing an extensive body of work documenting icebergs, glaciers, ice flows, the changing climate and the change in people’s lives, “I have aimed to chronicle a history shaped by millennia, one that holds both the fleeting remnants of our human story and the uncertainty of our future.”

We’re thrilled to showcase the incredible work of our Master of Arts Photography student, Erkin Kalayci.
With years of experience as a graphic designer and art director, Erkin has brought his artistic vision to life in photography.
For his Master’s major project, Erkin created a stunning solo exhibition, The Hidden Shaman, exploring his family history and the essence of human connection: “The project uses photography to tell stories of my family history. It is a homage to their assimilating and fading lifestyle due to intercultural encounters and time. It is also a tribute to my father and sister, who still reflect the characteristics of shaman guides of their society.”
Erkin’s talent and dedication have earned him the Australian Student of the Year award at the 2024 Australian Photographic Prize and his inspiring journey is a reminder of what’s possible when you follow your creative passion. 🏆✨ Congratulations, Erkin!

A storyteller at heart, Catherine’s passion for working with people has blossomed into a love for portraiture and telling people’s stories. Her ability to connect with her subjects brings something truly special to her work.
This rapport is evident in her graduating project chronicling the story of Carol Baker the first woman police officer to undertake the police driving course, back in 1964. And in her previous project, exploring her uncle’s experience during the war staged using her nephew.
We couldn’t be prouder to celebrate Catherine’s growth and achievements as she graduates from our Advanced Diploma of Photography. Check out the full article in Southbank News to see how Catherine’s creative journey is paving the way for incredible stories through photography.
