Today we were extremely lucky to have Terry from St Mary's Primary School Dandenong to come and read to our Pre Schoolers and Pre Kinder children. "Going on a Bear hunt" was a big hit and then we were treated to a couple of songs on the guitar.

Our Families were treated to Teddy Bear Picnic this week, As families arrived they were welcomed by one of our teddy bears and given special treat of teddy bear biscuits. Storytime focus month has been a big hit!

Last Friday we had our children's Christmas party.
With the beautiful weather we sat outside on the deck and were treated to a performance and dance part from the amazing Cathy from HEY DEE HO who got us dancing with some Christmas songs.
Santa paid us a visit from the north pole and greeting all the children with a present. Please enjoy some photos and videos from our day.

Didgeridoo Australia

Goodstart Doveton is proud to acknowledge Henning's performance from Didgeridoo Australia. He performed a great Aboriginal cultural teaching experience for our 3 to 5 year olds. Our service is currently a working on a project to engage with highly experienced and passionate Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal educators and performers.

Healthy Eating

We thank chef Karan for coming in and explaining children about the benefits of healthy eating. He also demonstrated some professional way of cutting vegetables. Children had the opportunity to smell and taste the yummy veggies :)
