Bar models are mathematical diagrams used to represent and solve problems involving quantities and their relationships to one another. The bar model method is one of the key problem solving heuristics that students use to solve word problems at S.A.M - Mandurah.

Seriously Addictive Mathematics training Centre in Mandurah Western Australia
Seriously Addictive Mathematics (S.A.M) is an enrichment program with a difference. Unlike other tuition programs, it doesn’t focus on procedural maths, which depend on your child’s ability to practice and memorise topics and calculations. The S.A.M curriculum offers a holistic approach to understanding and applying maths concepts in the real world.
Using the CPA Approach (Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract) during lessons, students develop an understanding of mathematical concepts and how they apply in real-life situations.
With a small number of learners in each class, every student get the attention they deserve.
The program consists of a 1-hour lesson every week, workbooks for daily home practice and an optional study/homework session to complete S.A.M workbooks under supervision of a trainer.
