The Palm Beach State School P&C Association’s Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Monday, 24th March 2024, commencing at 5.30pm. This will be held in the Staff Lunch Room (next to the School Office).

At the AGM all Executive positions will be declared vacant, and nominations for the 2025 Executive Committee will be tabled for election. These positions are: President, Vice President, Treasurer & Secretary. In addition we are aiming to appoint Fundraising Coordinators.

We encourage all parents to attend. The P&C is a great way to contribute to the school and meet like minded people in your community. We look forward to seeing you there.

We need volunteers to help with our upcoming Bunnings sausage sizzle at the Burleigh Waters store.

Can you help support our school for 1.5 hours on Sunday 30th March?

This upcoming fundraising activity will contribute to raise much needed funds to provide new technology equipment for the school as well as assisting to return our Local Chaplaincy Committee (LCC) back to 2 days per week support services.

To run the sausage sizzle stand, we need volunteers throughout the day with a focus on 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

We are reaching out to you with an urgent appeal for volunteers to fill the important role of Fundraising Coordinator of our P&C Association. As our last Fundraising Coordinator steps down due to children moving on to high school, we are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about supporting our school community and enhancing the experience for all students. Unfortunately if we are unable to fill this position our P&C will be unable to operate events such as the Mother's & Father's Day stalls, school discos, fun days etc.
As Fundraising Coordinator of the P&C, you will have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team of volunteers in developing ideas for fundraising, planning events, managing fundraising activities, and collaborating with school stakeholders. This role is ideal for individuals who are natural leaders, excellent communicators, and passionate about making a positive impact in our school community.

Palm Beach State School is turning 50, and to celebrate, the P&C is organising a 50 for 50 fun day on Tuesday 10th September.

Each grade will experience 50 minutes of jam-packed fun, including a session on a huge inflatable obstacle course on the oval and a sausage sizzle, popper and an ice block.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:
- Assisting with stall setup & decoration
- Helping customers with purchases and taking payment
- Providing information about our stall & products
- Packing up at the end of the event

Unfortunately at last nights AGM, we did not have any volunteers for the role of P&C secretary. So that our P&C was not dissolved, our President & Vice-President have temporarily offered to take on the secretarial duties in addition to their own roles. We are urgently seeking a volunteer to take on the role of P&C Secretary.
The duties include
- taking minutes at our meetings (6 per year), -distributing the meeting notices and agendas
-sending out our bi-term newsletter.
Other than attending the meetings which run for approx. 30 mins, all other items can be completed at home. Many hands make light work!
