Well… this morning just got weirder.
I’m sitting by the fire, staying warm, just finished uploading the video of the moose swimming across the river and casually walking through camp.
Then I hear:
THUD. THUD. THUD.
I look to my left…
Mama moose comes running down the path right beside me with her baby.
And when I say right beside me, I mean RIGHT beside me. Close enough that I immediately switched to:
“Okay, Jesse… be cool. Mama has a baby. This is not the time to become a Canadian cautionary tale.” 😅
She looked at me.
I looked at her.
I basically gave the universal “What’s up, mama?” nod and hoped she wasn’t in the mood to kick my ass.
Thankfully, she carried on, baby in tow.
Homeless, cold, sitting by a fire at stupid o’clock in the morning…
And apparently hosting a moose family reunion.
Life is weird, man. 🫎❤️
