What a Saturday on the water!
Our AYSC sailors set out from Sandy Ground in our RS Touras and made the beautiful sail up the coast to Crocus Bay. With 5 boats filled with 20 of our sailors, it made for a very exciting day and memorable day out on the water!

Waiting for us in Crocus was the crew of the SSV Corwith Cramer, a 134-foot steel brigantine operated by the Sea Education Association (SEA) - an organization dedicated to oceanographic research, sail training, and immersive marine science education. The Corwith Cramer is a true sailing school vessel, built specifically for hands-on learning at sea, and her crew welcomed our young sailors aboard with warmth and enthusiasm- they basically showed them every inch of the ship! They also shared stories of their voyages, their scientific work, and what it’s like to live, learn, and conduct research on a tall ship.

Then it was our turn to host! Our sailors took the Cramer crew out in the RS Touras for an easy sail around Crocus and over to Little Bay. The breeze was steady, the water was calm, and everyone settled in quickly. As they moved along the coast, the groups mixed naturally - talking about their different sailing experiences, comparing the boats they train on, and sharing a few laughs along the way. It was relaxed, genuine, and a nice chance for both sides to further connect while simply enjoying a good afternoon on the water.

After waving goodbye we wrapped up the day with a smooth sail back to Sandy Ground, arriving just in time to watch the sun set over the water - the perfect ending to a day built on community, youth empowerment, and the shared magic of sailing.

Huge thanks to the Corwith Cramer crew and the Sea Education Association for the hospitality and the inspiration!

Exploring Meads Bay with Our New RS Touras! ⛵

This Saturday our sailors took the new RS Touras on an adventure to Meads Bay, and it was the perfect mix of fun, challenge, and discovery! The new venue gave everyone a chance to experience different conditions and build confidence in a fresh setting.

We sailed to and from Sandy Ground, enjoyed some beautiful weather, and even had a couple of capsizes and manoverboards — all part of the learning and the laughter that make days like this unforgettable!

outing, great teamwork, and an exciting start to many more adventures with our Touras!

Thank You, Anguilla Youth Sailing Club Family! ⛵️❤️

What an incredible Family Fun Day! We are so grateful to everyone who came out to support the Anguilla Youth Sailing Club and spend the afternoon sailing, creating, and connecting.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers who made it all possible:

✨ Dean Carty – for bringing the BBQ magic
✨ Jenice Carty and Veronica – for their time, energy, and support
✨ Dave and Debbie Rushton – for always showing up for our youth
✨ Thomas Maccow- for taking new sailors out for hobie cat sails
✨ Didier Graham– thank you for lending your hands and heart
✨ Kedon Woodley – for stepping in and helping
✨ And of course, Mr. Sylvan Perkins (“Drift”) – who finally showed up and sat down to color with the kids. We love to see it!

From arts & crafts to sailing basics, knot tying to good food and laughter, the day was a beautiful reminder that it truly takes a village to nurture our young sailors.

To every parent, child, supporter, and volunteer, thank you for being part of our growing sailing family. The future of sailing in Anguilla is bright because of YOU. 🌊✨

With gratitude,
Anguilla Youth Sailing Club ❤️
