Since some stores survived with stock, this infusion of funding will allow immediate needs to be met and for the local economy to begin to stabilize. After the initial crisis has passed, funding will then be funneled into ongoing efforts to rebuild homes, then toward other hurricane-related humanitarian projects on island.
